  1. I wonder if trying to go with a more national presence with the current approach of letting others blow their load will still work. Seems the last few cycles we’ve stuck to a few key regions with most of it being in or around texas and we were fighting off the same handful of teams mostly, so if they went overboard on a couple guys then they’d handcuff themselves for the rest of the class. It feels like this cycle we’ve seen more/different teams involved than we normally see (South Carolina for example) on guys we want and a lot of them are desperate in their own ways and we let them make their ridiculous offers. But if there are more teams to go against for different guys, then that’s more dumb offers to try and compete against on one off guys and maybe we spent time/resources in an area that could’ve been better spent on another guy. Idk I also don’t know shit.
  2. Alright now THIS is the surly I’m used to. Just need Carl to come back on one of his burners and then we’ll really be cruising.
  3. Alright, everyone get real negative for a while and see if that helps. satya you’re an expert here so you go first.
  4. Can anyone even attempt to name the 10-12 players from their roster he expected to get drafted?
  5. They’d do it if it was forced upon them lol. If the top 40 schools leave and say “join this with the hopes you might climb the ranks, or you can stay in whatever league you’re in now”. And maybe they do it like they do the academic standards thing where it’s a running average over 3 years.
  6. I haven’t thought any more into this than having the idea pop into my head 10 seconds ago but what if CFB went towards more of the champions league relegation model? NCAA sort of operates like it now but not in such an overt way with different divisions. I’m sure someone on this board has thought of it before and others have probably poopooed the idea.
  7. I used to think that until Anthony Richardson got media hyped into a 4th overall pick. I thought that was just agent hype and was blown away when it actually happened. I don’t understand the fall for Banks so far and I hope it doesn’t happen but if the Texans benefit from it then I guess it all works out in the end.
  8. Saw this thread active and I have nothing to add other than I played a round a few weeks ago and Mack teed off right in front of us and topped his drive right into the bushes on the first tee. Immediately reloaded. He was hitting it all over the place that day. Nice guy though.
  9. My Baylor people do not want to lose Hall and were pissed to see his name thrown out there. Seems like it would be a good get and a guy that can recruit.
  10. I would’ve been publicly executed by the group if I suggested paying $1k+ for a round.
  11. I looked but it’s like 2-3x more there and at Bellagio compared to Caesar’s on those dates and I’m trying to keep the cost reasonable for most guys. Even if I kept the group small i would’ve had to do the same thing. Everyone’s getting married or having kids so we’re working with what we’ve got. The main focus is golf and that was easy to set up thankfully. also, not planning on spending much time in the rooms.
  12. Thank you all for the advice so far, although a lot of it sounds like my fiancé on the other end lol. She also told me the group is too big and I realized that once I started adding people to the group but the deed is done and there’s no turning back without some real awkward conversations. Planning to get rooms at Caesars just to stay near the middle of the strip (friend’s recommendation) and everyone kind of understands that since the group is that big, other than dinner and golf there are no real set plans. Maybe a pool day somewhere but other than that it’s up in the air for right now. And it’s a good group of guys so not too worried about anyone getting into real trouble, but I’ve also been proven wrong before.
