  8. So, when I saw this article, I wondered why we needed another one on the status of Dia Bell's commitment to Texas. The analysts protest too much, methought. Turned out Loy was doing a series on all top, committed prospects. Okay, fine. When I read actually read it, it was an effusive and emphatic confirmation of Bell's commitment status, an update on his recruitment efforts on behalf of Texas, and effectively, a nice little paean to Sark and team's approach towards and success with these high-profile QB recruitments. With distinct echoes of the Arch Manning recruitment. A few excerpted quotes below, but skim through the article (spoilered); it's worth it. **************************************************************** "Bell hasn't wavered in the slightest. ... and is completely locked in." " ... it couldn't be more evident that he wants to play for Sarkisian." " ... the other schools in play β€” such as Georgia, LSU and Ohio State, to name a few β€” there is little to no optimism that Bell will even visit their respective campuses." " ... this is about as drama-free a process for a high-level quarterback as you'll find this cycle." "Bell is adamant about his love for Texas, his family feels the same way." And my favorite ... "He never even had a single discussion involving money prior to his pl edge to the Longhorns. He chose Texas for all of the right reasons." 🀘 🀘 🀘 ********************************************************************* Status Check: Where elite QB Dia Bell's recruitment stands nine-plus months after Texas commitment 247Sports' Status Check series aims to update fans on the latest with the class of 2026's top committed prospects.
