  1. 7 years, but I wanted something that would (theoretically) last a while so it is (was?) an 8th Gen i7 with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. The rest of your post might as well have been in hieroglyphics/way above my head. Will start looking for computer shops up here--many thanks for the help, Imma!
  2. Well that sounds....less than ideal. Any hope of recovering anything recent? And suggestions on where to take it in the aforementioned (or North Austin) area? F*** me, I hate technology sometimes...
  3. I could not get my monitor to work through the Surface dock yesterday morning and after rebooting was getting an error message that appeared to be related to Avast. I attempted to delete Avast (so I could reinstall) and reboot and it has not been able to restart since. When trying to reboot, it is just showing the restart screen on a loop. Eventually I was able to get to the Surface UEFI screen, and after trying to reboot from there am getting some type of "Network" error message (but it just continually goes through that loop as well). I have tried everything I can think of with (VERY) limited technical skills and can't get to the recovery screen. Anyone have any suggestions? And if not suggestions on where to take it in Northeast Williamson County? (Hutto/Georgetown/Round Rock)
  4. Woof. It's been a while since I have seen everyone (players, fans, coaches) so thoroughly disgusted/dejected....and it's the 2nd game of the season. Could be a tough one for the Hammers...
  5. Clearly we (the fans) were fired up about this one! Actually a pretty nice 2nd half and a trophy is a trophy (and yes, we know the 1st club to acquire EVERY major continental trophy per the announcers...again)..
  6. You knew after last week this had the potential to be good...but holy s**t! Between the 2 games one of the best sporting events ever....
  7. And here I was saving my 100th post for something interesting....well, I guess this is, just not what I was expecting. I had no idea where to put this, so hopefully this works/someone who has a suggestion sees it. A family member was stopped for speeding yesterday afternoon in Hillsboro while driving back to Austin from Dallas/north Texas. During said stop, they informed this older gentleman (one of the nicest/most honest people I know) that he had an outstanding warrant from Round Rock Police Department for "misdemeanor-duty on striking unattended vehicle". He has no idea what they are talking about and has never been contacted by anyone from the Round Rock Police Department (and there is 0 damage to his vehicle that might indicate he "bumped" into another person's car and not realized it). As of this morning he is still being held in Hill County--I know it might be unlikely, but does anyone have a criminal attorney contact in that area? (I think that is where we should start) Or should we start with someone in Williamson County? We are all scrambling a bit because this (literally) came out of nowhere and he is older with some health issues. Any/all help and/or suggestions are appreciated....
  8. Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Hope you're hanging in there, Sbb!
  9. Staggeringly Stupid...great new motto band trivia team name.
  10. I lol'd (that is a heckuva store name pull). And username and whatnot.
  11. Reps to you Professor Chesney—worth our attention and summary thoughts put together better than I ever could.
  12. That is a grown-ass (young) man representing the best University in the state of Texas. That’s an exclamation point on that m’f***ing win!
  13. Eminem approves this message….
  14. Hardly-ever poster: give that man alll the reps!!!!!
  15. Clearly you weren't thinking outside the box enough, Gil: "What makes this home unique is the zoning that allows for a spa, a group home, a retirement home, drug rehab....". Man, real estate listings in California are wild. I popped in this morning to see Wulaw's reaction to the jobs report--I would have paid good money to be there when he first heard the news and exclaimed something along the lines of, "M*********er! I tried telling those Surly slapdicks it was all bulls**t!"....
