  1. Theres been so much said that I cant quote one to reply to. But to the person who was talking about the new hurry up offense vs the 3 and out after running it up the middle two times then a failed pass attempt. The new offense so far looks better at very least at getting first downs which is important to keep the defense from wearing down too fast. Also for the talk of the RBs and only 3.7 ypc. They were splitting time between 5 RBs on purpose. They wanted all of them to get touches and GA southern was the safe game to do it. But it didnt allow any of them to get going. Against Texas It will more than likely be Edwards-Helaire and Emery getting the load of the work. Doesnt mean the running game will magically be fixed but it can improve drastically. But Texas will let us know what LSU has on offense regardless. Saying LSU struggles or dominates at something from either fanbase on offense is unproven regardless at this point.
  2. That's actually a really good point. I didnt account for this new scheme hasn't seen a defense anywhere close to Texas to tell if the o line will suffice yet. Excellent point actually.
  3. They absolutely dominated UGA by 20 points last year with a worse line. They're used to it.
  4. Our fans down play this a lot. But this team underperformed like crazy on the road last year. That's what has me concerned, Texas has the athletes to more than take advantage if LSU plays anything like how they played on the road last season.
  5. I can almost guarantee LSUs game plan is have the defense shut down Texas offense the best they can and have the new offense be able to do enough to win. The new offense is there to be capable enough so the defense can secure wins. Not necessarily carry the team.
  6. But yeah the Oline is a weaker part of the team. That's how it was last year too but they should be a bit better than last year. And combined with the new offense LSU should be able to score more often which was the main weakness last year the offense fizzling out and getting the defense wore down. They were able to score last year with a worse line minus Bama. And I respect Texas defense. But it's no Alabama.
  7. I dont think you guys wanna be bringing up last years games
  8. Proud might be a little strong of a word to describe it. But for as much as people insult him, if Texas loses on Saturday, no one will let you forget you lost to a team coached by him. And I'm not even talking LSU fans.
  9. I gotta say. A lot of the articles posted here calling Texas DBU are from like 2014-2016. And the 2016 even says "give it about two years and LSU will probably be the undisputed number 1 overall depending on how their current DBs play out" And they all went to the NFL. Like others have said its pointless to argue but for anything you show that points to Texas people can show stuff pointing to LSU. But overall I know Texas has more DBs in the NFL than LSU I think it's like Texas 50 LSU 46. And Texas can recruit DBs good too. But LSU has the best DB coach in college football so they might be able to catch and and surpass that overall number in the near future too.
  10. Is it too late for LSU and Texas fans to get together and decide to use this national TV time to do something productive? I would love to turn on game day and just see a bunch of signs trashing those discount Texas dancing milkman cheerleaders aggys.
  11. I'm genuinely curious, is there anywhere that shows that Texas came up with the term? I tried looking it up and couldnt find anything. Obviously I'm on a Texas website so I'm not here to be like "YOU'RE WRONG, LSU IS DBU" it's a pointless argument. You want to say Texas is DBU, go for it. Not here to change minds. It's the same on LSUs message board, everyone over there will laugh and think you're all crazy for thinking Texas is DBU. But I will say this, on websites that have multiple fans of all teams like CFB on reddit, amongst other fans if you go there and as who DBU is, it's about a 95% they'll all say LSU. With some Texas, FSU, Florida, ODu mixed in. But most other fan bases outside of the biased schools fanbase would say LSU. That could just be due to LSU being more successful recently. Also I'm a die hard Earl Thomas fan. So I'm not strictly biased to the LSU side.
  12. It's weird in that aspect too from what I've seen. I know a lot of LSU fans I've been around think LSU wins by around 10. But on the SEC Rant and fans of other SEC teams basically want to put LSU in a no win situation. They look at it like Texas is an average team coming in with a lot of hype. A lot of the comments on there are about Aggys playing a real challenge in Clemson (well...duh) and LSU should dominate. If they dont or lose than LSU was trash anyway. I think theres a very real chance that if both teams are legit, they could meet again later this season. I think it would have to be LSU winning this one for it to happen because I don't think LSU can easily bounce back against Alabama if they lose on Saturday. Regardless what happens I hope Texas dominates every game they play after Saturday. I'm excited to see what the defense really looks like this season playing a legit offense.
  13. I couldnt figure out why he was blatantly taking these shots at Texas. Then I remembered its where hes from UT and LSU were the team he was deciding between. So I get it, even if i don't like it. But it's basically like Dylan Moses with us. Committed to LSU for a bit then after firing Miles he went to Bama instead. Now he makes these comments like he has to convince himself he made the right choice. And you nailed it, hes building up potential to be an absolute monster. But hes not fully battle tested yet and these comments could blow up on him because hes making himself an even bigger target. But if hes as good as hes looked so far even against the top teams like Texas, he'll welcome those extra challenges hes mounting for himself with all this talk.
  14. I came here for one, to talk about the game. Two for a mutual aggy hate. So I will say it looks like a lot of our online fans want to make up manufactured "disrespect" over these shirts. Nothing about these shirts are disrespectful. It doesnt matter if you're trying to justify it by saying LSU is more considered DBU right now. It doesnt mean Texas cant acknowledge themselves as a DBU too out of pride for their school. I am glad it seems to have got our players fired up though. It feels like a cocky LSU plays better and it makes the build up more fun for the game.
