  1. Please keep the beatdown of Utah going and we'll see you in Arlington (I hope).
  2. SEC is so much better, amirite?
  3. This is a better view:
  4. Disagree on #1. That receiver was Retzlaff's first read. If that receiver is not held and gets separation, the throw may have gone there. Also, the refs probably were letting a lot of holds go, but BYU kept calling it out to the refs and so the ref finally called it. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. The DB held and got busted for it. BYU still had to go the length of the field and make the field goal. Utah had multiple additional chances to stop the drive and they did not. Also, there was an egregious wrong call in the second quarter that kept a drive alive for Utah and led to a TD on that drive. BYU was called for a facemask on a sack when replay video showed the defender pulled the front of the jersey, not the facemask. The refs don't call that and that probably kills the drive. Utah benefitted from that. Stuff happens. Man up and move on. BYU did.
  5. Coach Whittingham after the game: Also: However, I give respect to Utah's DC and named HC successor when Whit retires, Morgan Scalley, who handled himself well after the loss (one of the few). Utah's D played lights out and if they ever get OC and QB figured out they will be a force again.
  6. This was the hold:
  7. A trashy program from top to bottom.
  8. Bloods vs Crips
  9. Miami is a bigger brand. That's it.
  10. I think you misunderstood my point. No, I said BYU should be ahead of Miami and IU. I don't think BYU should be ahead of Oregon. Also, Oregon should be ahead of IU. Oregon beating Ohio State + UCLA + MSU + Boise State + the rest > IU beating UCLA + MSU + the rest. You put way to much weight on the common opponent scores. I'm not saying it's meaningless metric, but both beat UCLA and MSU handily and it's not the most important metric. If IU remains unbeaten and beats Ohio State, then I have no problem with IU being ahead of BYU.
  11. Were your QBs expected to split reps in that game? It looked like we had so thoroughly shut down Stone that your coach went to Jennings for a spark, but we kept Jennings in check, too, so he went back and forth, ultimately sticking with Jennings at the end. I feel like we've improved a lot as the season has progressed, too, especially our QB. I hope y'all win out, but I don't want to meet you again.
  12. Yeah, that they both played UCLA & MSU and Indiana beat them by a little more is a data point, but I'm not putting Indiana ahead of Oregon until they beat Ohio State, too. And Oregon also beat Boise State, so even if Indiana beats Ohio State Indiana would still not have the better resume. I hope SMU plays Miami for the ACC championship. Only then will we getter a better idea if Miami is really all that. Their strength of schedule has been trash. BYU has more to prove, but it's quite possible it will have beat the ACC champ and run through the Big 12. If so, it will deserve at least the 3 seed in the CFP, depending on what happens in the SEC and B10.
  13. BYU should be ahead of the other undefeateds Indiana and Miami (not Oregon). We have better wins so far, including the win vs SMU, which is looking better and better. Other than the Louisville win what has Miami done? Florida and Florida State are trash bags this year, so those wins are not compelling for Miami.
  14. He just escape from prison? Stripes, pose, and that backdrop makin me wonder.
  15. Not the first time BYU has gotten a DC fired right after the game 😉
  16. Hope you can find the Texas game this week on the SECN
  17. BYU on the Flagship in the afternoon this Saturday no jinx / *knocks on wood*
  18. Per my username, I dig it
  19. resigned
  20. Gotta admit, he looks like a bad mofo in that pic.
  21. Beat SMU on the road, too, which has turned into a nice win. I think Arizona is a good win, also.
