Would pod winners be seeded for Conference Championship? Two game playoff for SEC Champion? Then go to National Championship playoff?

We may have one of the biggest social media departments, but I'm not so sure it is one of the most creative or effective. Granted, I'm no expert on it and most of what I see is posted here but what I see here doesn't seem to be cutting edge. My main point is that the players seem more focused on that than the wishes of their HS coach. Just my . 02c.

I think a coaches influence on what school the player chooses is way overrated. No doubt some kids rely on a coaches input, but the coaches I ask about that say that for the most part a coaches input is minimal in deciding. When I ask what the biggest influence on making the decision is, nearly all say social media. I think upping our social media game could be a big help to our recruiting.

Think we need 10-2 regular season and Bowl game win to move the needle. Gotta sweep non-conference.

This might have been addressed, but are there any age constraints on contracts for these guys as in parents having to sign off on contracts?

That's right, a silent commitment doesn't even make a lot of sense. Plus verbal commitments and LOI's aren't worth a whole lot nowadays.

2021 Texas HS football
Right, Westlake will roll no matter where they are in the playoffs. But, SLC did not lose a lot and should make a very deep run in the playoffs.

2023 RB Rueben Owens
I grew up about 30 miles from there and it was really aggy territory. I was shocked too when he signed. When your mascot is The Rice Birds, that's a clue it's an agricultural area.

I agree he's not 100% bought in to OSU, but as of now I don't think he comes to Texas. Now, if we leave Dallas undefeated after kicking OU's ass things might change. I don't know if Sark would take a commit from Arch for some assurance to the Mannings that Ewers won't be around. I don't know if those kinds of deals are made or not, but I tend to think Sark wouldn't put himself in that position.

2022 RB Jaydon Blue
I'm going with the post CTJ had yesterday that a big part of the new staff's recruiting strategy was determining a kids desire to play football and if it wasn't there they would back off. This could be a pretty big test with Blue. I'm one that believes he won't end up at Texas whether it is the coaches backing off because they think he could be a problem or he just decides to go elsewhere.
