  1. Are we expected to be active in the portal?
  2. Blake Munroe Portal recruiting is moving at full speed for Jim Schlossnagle and his staff, with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. The Longhorns hosted three visitors over the weekend. While I can't put out one of those names, two that did visit include a pair of prospects from Virginia. OF Henry Ford and INF Eric Becker both took in a visit to the Forty Acres later in the weekend and, as of last night, were still on campus. The big question for this duo is if they'll follow Brian O'Connor to Mississippi State or not. -- As for the other visitor, they arrived on Friday night. I'm told that visit went very well. It's definitely a situation I'm continuing to monitor very closely. -- Despite rumors to the contrary floating around on certain social media sites, NO commitments have been given at this time. -- I normally don't put names out in advance, but I will with this one. Maryland INF Chris Hacopian visited Texas A&M over the weekend and the Aggies felt the visit went well (of course they always do, but that's a different story). Next up for Hacopian is a pair of visits to both Texas and Arkansas. I see this coming down to one of these two schools, with the Aggies not having much of a shot. -- Hacopian won't be the last visitor this week, either.
  3. But it's also important to note that the 34 can all be scholarship players so the reduction isn't that big of a deal.
  4. Gerry Hamilton Hoops Report: Workouts begin today; one more roster addition Sean Miller and staff have the current roster of players on campus save freshman center Lewis Obiorah (more on that below). After a week of individual workouts, the team will begin weight training, conditioning and skill-related instruction today. The Longhorns already have the tallest roster in the programs history, and there could be another addition. The six players added are 7-foot-1, 7-foot, 6-foot-10, 6-foot-8, 6-foot-7 and a 6-foot-4 combo guard. The additions, along with keeping 6-foot-8.5 forward signee John Clark in the fold and retaining 6-foot-9 Nic Codie, 6-foot-6 guard Tramon Mark and 6-foot-3 guard Chendall Weaver has created the tallest/longest roster I have seen in my years covering and following Texas. That means the lone player on the current roster not 6-foot-3 or taller is shooter Jordan Pope. Lewis Obiorah update ... The 7-foot-1, 19 year old will not join the team until August. He is developmental player in year one. Completing the 2025-26 roster ... Texas has two scholarship spots remaining. One spot is a lock to be used. As of today, it's expected to be an international player. And that player could be another impact big man, or a role playing guard. Texas current 2025-26 roster... Tramon Mark, CG, 6-6, Gr. (10.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists) Simeon Wilcher, CG, 6-4, junior (8.0 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists) Jordan Pope, CG, 6-0, senior (11.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists) Chendall Weaver, G, 6-3, senior (6.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists) Dailyn Swain, F/G, 6-8, junior (11.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals at Xavier) Camden Heide, F, 6-7, junior (4.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 39.2% from three at Purdue) Matas Vokietaitas, C, 7-0, sophomore (10.2 points, 5.4 rebounds at FAU) Lassina Traore, C, 6-10, senior (11.9 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists in 2023-24 at LBSU) Nic Codie, PF, 6-9, sophomore John Clark, PF, 6-8.5, freshman Lewis Obiorah, C, 7-1, freshman
