  1. If you've never been to see these gals, put it on your "to do" list. We've been twice, once for a regular show and once for the Christmas show. Fantastic and easy on the ears (and eyes). They can come and tuck me in and sing me to sleep anytime they want to. While we're across the pond, this may be a surprise to some. Slade, yeah, those rockin' dudes, put this one and it became one of the GOATs. Give it at least 40 seconds. 2. I always liked The Unknown Comic.

  4. 3rd thought: why not?
  5. We all appreciate the effort and are living vicariously through you. Dude being a dude. For real rock and real progress, I'd recommend a real tool...the jackhammer. They are available in multiple sizes and electric or pneumatic. Guessing here, I'm thinking a 50 pounder? Is this on the radar?
  6. Following a hunch from @Reynolds Woodcock I sat this week and watched Fail Safe (1964) and I'm glad I did. It's a B&W, which I think helps with the intensity and drama. The cast includes Peter Fonda, Walter Matthau, Fritz Weaver, Dan O'Herlihy, a young Larry Hagman, Dom DeLuise and Sorrell Brooke. America fresh from the Cuban Missile Crisis in October of '62 probably hadn't yet cleaned its pants when this debuted. So, I'd imagine the feelings of distrust, anxiety, and intensity were amped up again. Watching from 50 years into the future we have the advantage of hindsight, but I can't help but wonder how times this may have happened before. Wiki link on page 180 within my post. Would recommend. I also had another rewatch of Casablanca, which I love. I'm not going to re-hash it all, just one part. Everyone remembers "play it again", but the dialogue exchange between Sam and Rick leading up to that is perfect, probably the most perfect 2:40 seconds of cinema. I love the "let's go fishing" from Sam. YT link for your viewing pleasure this morning. If we all had a Sam to take advice from, we probably would have never gotten into so much shit.

  8. I rolled the dice on THS and didn't go this week because of the drive. I thought they'd win and face Newton next week on my side of town. Oh, well. Maybe I'll go see EB get pasted by Newton. They have been putting up points all year.
  9. Well, fine I didn't want to go next week anyway. Looks like THS got caught not paying attention. Maybe next time.
  10. Notice what quarter the screen shot says as compared to the last I put up.
  11. BS BS BS on that call.
  12. For all intents and purposes, Tulane will move forward. UNT will go home and watch a bowl game in their stadium. I'm gonna go ahead and call it. Maybe next time UNT.
  13. Maybe next time Troy.
  14. Tigers doing just enough to stay ahead.
  15. Troy gave 'em fits for a while. Time isn't looking good for their chances.
  16. UNT defense needs to stop 'em or get the ball back on this drive.

  19. Christmas comes early.
  20. Thought I heard the commentators claim Hawkins had over 1200 yards of offense. If that is true, a big piece of O is on the sidelines.
