  1. Just leaving this here: https://www.firstpost.com/explainers/chinas-stabbing-problem-why-are-mass-knife-attacks-so-common-11012101.html https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/33-dead-130-injured-china-knife-wielding-spree-n41966
  2. FIFY. Generalized name calling is easy. That being said, back before I retired, I had to qualify to carry firearms, and the main point of emphasis in the training, in addition to the basic firearms safety rules regarding treating all firearms as if they are loaded, keeping firearm pointed in a safe direction, keeping finger off the trigger until ready to fire, etc., was that you do NOT use lethal force unless you believe your life, or the life of someone around you, is in IMMINENT danger; "imminent" being the key word. That means you do not shoot someone through your front door because they rang your doorbell in the middle of the night, you do not shoot someone in a car that is in the process of turning around in your driveway, and you do not shoot someone who is running away from you after stealing some cash from your store. If the thief was armed, it might be a different story.
  3. Matthew? Is he the brother of Daniel Figurelli, the racist POS who lost an internship at PWC because he was sending racist tweets at high school football recruits?
  4. He'll probably be disappointed by what he finds in NYC. It's changed a bit in 8 years also.
  5. VC capitalists? Charlie don't surf...nor does he do capitalism
  6. Not true. I've had a Ruger 57 for a couple years, and never had a problem with it. Sweet shooter.
  7. Just saw where Henry Repeating Arms are now selling revolver handguns, Henry Big Boy Revolver .357 Mag/.38 Special double action. They look pretty nice, but I'm not sure about the notch in the bottom of the barrel to make room for the extractor rod. Being from Henry, I'm sure they're pretty high quality for those who are a fan of revolvers. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/henry-repeating-arms-reveals-first-revolvers-360-buckhammer-rifles-and-more-301796027.html
  8. This is so true. I have a mini-14 I bought in 1994, that for the life of me, I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with. Long story short, in looking for a way to mount a scope on this rifle, I stumbled upon a rail system from Amega Mounts that replaces the stock hand guard. Part of this replacement kit is a small, steel barrel brace that clamps over barrel, and stabilizes it. After installing this thing, the improvement in accuracy was remarkable. In stock configuration, I couldn't reliably hit a target at 100 yards...I mean completely miss the paper. Now, all shots hit within the black at 100 yards. It's still no tack driver, but accuracy is massively improved, and I am confident I can reliably hit whatever I need to at any range. http://www.amegamounts.com/product_pages/rugerMini14.php
  9. Unfortunately, deleted the episode from my dvr, but I'm trying to remember if Perry mentioned it offhandedly during his night of drinking with Strickland, the night they ended up at the racetrack. Just can't remember what they discussed.
  10. I know this won't happen, but I'd like to think that Strickland broke into the office, and replaced the gun in the safe so that when ballistics tests come back, it will show that the gun in the safe was not the murder weapon. I think Strickland hates the douchie DA more than Perry.
  11. You seem angry. You angry?
  12. Lighten up, Frances. User name is not checking out.
  13. Hell yes, I'm ready Woodrow. Don't I look ready?
  14. You weren't paying attention last week?
  15. This video isn't about snakes exclusively, but there is a good amount of interesting snake content. I like this guy's videos. He gets some really amazing tornado, lightening and nature shots.
  16. Sorry...misunderstood
  17. You think Robert Plant has a solo career without Jimmy Page? To paraphrase the above post: Robert Plant + Allison Krause = nothing Robert Plant + Jimmy Page = One of the two or three greatest front men in the history of rock and roll.
  18. Robert Plant is nothing without Jimmy Page.
  19. Perhaps there's something to be said for taking that wee dram of whisky before turning in for the night.
  20. Again? Has OU ever not sucked?
  21. What a classless, overrated sack of shit. I don't think I've ever seen or heard a head coach of a D1 program, or any other level for that matter, openly berate the abilities of an opposing player; especially when that opposing player's team is in the process of kicking that coach's ass. Any a-holes on here who were saying that Texas should have hired him instead of DP can choke on a fat one.
  22. This was a good interview, but the corn dipshit lost me at the end when he asks 'Horn fans to subscribe to his channel saying, "We need this", then immediately does the horns down...in front of our coach, in our facilities. Dumbass.
  23. There used to be a restaurant in the southern part of Austin that seemed like a nice place for a wedding party. Not sure if it's still open, but it was called Green somethingorother...Green Fields, Green Meadows, Green Acres...I can't recall, but it was located on a fairly large property, with lots of huge live oaks, and had peacocks wandering all over the place. Just did a quick Google search...it is still there, apparently changed management and is now called Mattie's at Green Pastures.
  24. I know it's been mentioned before on this thread, but it bears repeating; someone needs to remind Poindexter here that there is no such thing as a "Texas Aggie"...fightin' or any other kind. In Texas, the only aggy is a Texas A&M aggy. "Texas" is the exclusive domain of the Longhorn. Oh, and I was really hoping that there was only an "a" hiding behind that pencil neck of his.
