  1. I’ll cut her a little more slack on the goat. I’m assuming it wasn’t a pet and an old uncastrated goat probably does smell horrible. She said it would piss on its own head to attract the ladies, and it was near impossible to get the smell out of the laundry. And I can believe it probably did knock the children around. So I guess if you decide to get out of the goat rearing business… But she decided to kill the goat because she was on a rampage with the dog, and it was a stupid idea to put the story in a book.
  2. Listened to a longer audiobook excerpt; she got mad and executed the dog for her own stupid mistakes. A valued client group from Georgia that gave the family repeat business was about to go on their last hunt. In preparation for the hunt, the family drives many birds into a particular parcel of land. So what does Noem do? She decides to introduce a dog with known training issues into the hunt, and the dog proceeds to screw up the last hunt of the trip for valued clients. When the hunt is over and the dogs need to be transported back home, she is short a kennel, so Cricket is the only dog that wasn’t placed in a kennel. She narrates in the book that she wouldn’t care if Cricket jumped out of the pickup bed on the way home. Then she stops by a neighbor on the way home. And the one dog she failed to secure in a kennel, the dog that just screwed a hunt by chasing birds all over the place, jumps out of the truck and proceeds to go ham on the neighbor’s pet chickens. After apologizing and writing a check to the neighbor, she then puts Cricket in the cab of the truck instead of the bed. Maybe she should have put the dog in the cab before she got to a place with birds milling about in the open. So instead of reflecting on her screw ups, the dog is summarily executed.
  3. Now aren’t y’all glad y’all refrained from bashing the young Barron Trump? ducks…
  4. Slight addition…
  5. The boy is probably just a pawn being used by daddy and his crazy half-siblings and will likely just dutifully cast his vote for the great orange one. He should still be off limits until he opens his mouth and spews the usual Trump propaganda.
  6. I’m saying the political pro-Ivermectin crowd isn’t making a distinction between its effectiveness as a dewormer (which I believe there is no debate) and dubious effectiveness as a treatment for Covid.
  7. Oh there are Twitter posts revalidating the magic of Ivermectin after this news came out. Some have tried to point out its effectiveness on worms vs a virus but these idiots are sticking with their preconceived notions and whatnot.
  8. When you’ve lost NewsMax…
  9. Reading the responses, could be someone at The Fan.
  10. You’re new RNC spokesperson…
  11. “I’m saying I’m not talking about that meeting.” She’s not talking about that meeting that never happened.
  12. To be fair, a lot of kids would love to go to UT, my nephew included. Both his parents went to UT as well as three uncles and two aunts. But UT was harder to get into than when I and his father were admitted. He graduated from a prestigious private HS in Houston but wasn’t the crème de la crème. So he went to Arkie because some of his buddies in a similar situation in HS were going there. He is not dumb. i wouldn’t have gotten into Texas today…ok maybe I’m dumb.
  13. Republicans can’t tell the truth to save their lives. And to think I was one on them…many years ago.
  14. Alternative facts Sir
  15. Lots of RWNJ’s supporting him on Twitter. He’s not likely to do a lot of serious reflection. He’ll fit right in with the DFW realtor crowd.
  16. Yeah, aggie, $9.4M is in the same ballpark as $16.67M…
  17. I’m sure you can depend on Ole Miss to do the right thing when it comes to white racial misconduct.
  18. You’re a nice guy, but it’s a dumb idea. scenario 1: Quinn leads offense to 10 points on first two drives. Arch comes in and throws an interception. Opposing team scores on next drive. We lose a close game by three. Shit storm with fans and media ensues. Arch has to wait until the next week to hopefully redeem himself, with only one drive to prove it. scenario 2: Offense is scoreless first two drives. Arch comes in, scores a touchdown. Quinn comes in the rest of the game but doesn’t have his best game. Shit storm ensues. Now we have a quarterback controversy. Do you really want that? Arch will see action this season, at the place and time of Sark’s choosing.
  19. Agree. For mezcal, try MisMezcales in Roma Sur. It’s a cool, small boutique store that has many varieties of mezcal. I believe @GreenspointTexas recommended the shop on this thread before my trip in ‘22. I bought three bottles there, two to take back home and one to make cocktails with before going out to dinner. One thing I love about Mexico is a lot of the markets have stands that sell freshly squeezed fruit juice. The whole market smelled of grapefruit so we got some of that juice along with lime and cucumber (probably a little sugar added). Nothing better than fresh, squeezed fruit juice on vacation; with or without booze.
  20. My grandfather used to say "Best People on Earth" when would drive by the local Elk's lodge.
  21. Went on a self-guided rafting, fly fishing trip in 2012 to SW Alaska. Weather delayed our arrival by a day on our in-bound flight by float plane to the drop off lake. This had a reverberating effect when it was time to be picked up by our wheel plane at the local Inuit airstrip 5 days later. Flights were delayed across the region and we were worried if we were going to make it back to Anchorage for the return flight to DFW the following morning. I took a .44 magnum for bear protection on the trip along with a full box of heavy load ammo. I dutifully checked in my firearm and ammo at DFW at the start of the trip. But when the float trip ended , we were delayed getting back to Anchorage. We made it back to Anchorage late, took a cab to our hotel, made the driver wait while we dropped our luggage. Then we had him drive us to a bad ass pizza place in town before it closed. After long day of breaking camp, rowing to our pickup point, traveling by boat to the airstrip, taking a plane to Dillingham, taking a turbo prop to Anchorage, and eating pizza and drinking beer, I was dead tired. Asked my buddy at the hotel what time our flight was the next morning and he said something like 10:00 am. I immediately went to bed. Woke up about 7:00 the next morning, about to take a shower for the first time in 6 days. But decided to check my phone first to see what time our flight left. Flight leaves in an hour. We make a mad dash to the airport, check my revolver in at ticketing and put it in my check in duffle bag and quickly proceed to security carrying my backpack as they are announcing boarding for my flight. I forgot to remove my box of ammo from my backpack. Gulp…
  22. Yep, it’s the border wall. Dude is a regular on the MAGA circuit.
  23. Mezquila… @GreenspointTexas is not going to be happy about this! I’m generally not into celebrity booze, and why can’t you just mix mezcal and tequila if that’s the taste you’re going for? Also, I’m team David Lee Roth, but spending and evening drinking and eating with Sammy is probably a hoot.
