  1. For those curious - no, being a graduate of a school does not make you a 'booster'. From the NCAA: https://www.ncaa.org/sports/2013/11/27/role-of-boosters.aspx#:~:text=Boosters%2C referred to by the, promoting the university's athletics programs.
  2. He's 51, has never been as much as an OC, and is from the area. Its possible if he waited he may have gotten a better offer - but there was no guarantee. Worst case scenario is he loses at Temple, gets fired, and then goes back to being a highly sought after RB coach at either the college or NFL level.
  3. That may be true - but the Miami D is significantly better and they are getting Akheem Mesidor back from injury. The right side of the aggy OL is a joke and I expect Miami to take advantage. On Offense their future NFL OT Zion Nelson got some snaps last week but should be full speed for Saturday night. Considering how piss-poor the aggy offense is - and their OL - good enough is all Miami will need on offense. That said - it is a night game at Kyle Field - weird shit happens.
  4. Yep. Those grades are - not good. Vs. Texas DL through two games (DL/ED who have played at least 10 snaps)
  5. One of the biggest criticisms of Card is that he holds the ball too long - and 'Time to Throw' stats from last year certainly back that up: 3.55 is ridiculously long time to hold the ball - especially on a team with a questionable OL. The Alabama game is a very small sample size - but it looks that Card has sped up his processing at least a little bit. Aside from the ridiculous arm talent - one of Ewers best attributes may be his confidence. He knows where he wants to go with the ball and is decisive in doing it. Card always seems to need an extra beat to make up his mind. If Card is healthy one of the things I'm most interested in is how quickly he makes a decision. Can he continue to speed up his 'process time', or does he revert to 2021 Card that gets stuck 'waiting'?
  6. Message board rumor from the last few days. Given how he played to finish the year - I hope they do put him on the field.
  7. McKinley Jackson was one of their 5 worst graded defenders (of every defender that played) last season. I don't think getting him back is going to be a net positive. Wykoff at OC has graded out better this year than Foster did last year. Also Foster ended last season looking terrible, and allegedly considered quitting the team this off-season. But leave it to aggy to think that him coming back is in some way a boon to the OL.
  8. Those defensive rankings for aggy are insane. They played SHSU and held them scoreless, awesome! SHSU played Northern Arizona last week and scored all of 3 points. It is the single worst Sam Houston offense in 2 decades. Then aggy played App St and held them to 17 points, awesome! Except that App St. held the ball for 40 minutes and basically did exactly what they wanted to do - the aggy defense couldn't make stops and couldn't get off the field. Who the fuck is impressed by their defense?
  9. Right - I don't think the people PFF hires to grade are 'football smart' enough to know where the play is actually supposed to go.
  10. Miami OL grades through 2 games. Their starting LT Zion Nelson graded out as below last year: Z. Nelson -- 73.3 -- 65.0 -- 85.3
  11. First time I've seen people in the seats in the South End Zone.
  12. Seems absolutely crazy that in a Jimbo offense RB/TE's have a total of 5 targets in 2 games. I guess Jimbo was honest that he was 'changing' his offense - just didn't explain that it was going to be worse.
  13. Real quick - Sark beat #3 USC in his first season (2nd game) as head coach at Washington. Washington finished the season 5-7 (they were 0-12 under Whittingham the previous season). But that USC team finished the year 9-4 and ranked #22. Not as bad as the Notre Dame team Charlie beat - but not great. And why are they posting a picture of Sark and skill position players - and then talking about not having enough size for the SEC?
  14. I don't care how fat they are - that line is trash. That RT has a 0.0 pass block grade on PFF.
  15. The LT and RG spots for LSU had multiple starters throughout the year - but I chose the players with the most snaps at each position:
  16. According to the PFF charts - Green played the majority of his snaps at LG. Layden Robinson was the full time RG next to Fatheree. Robinson was also PFF's highest rated OL on that team last year - graded ahead of Green (80.7 vs. a 79.6 for Green). This year Robinson has by far the worst grade of all the OL at a 45.2. 2021 Grade Vs. 2022 Grade for OL RT R. Fatheree 72.4 >>> 56.5 RG L. Robinson 80.7 >>> 45.2 OC B. Foster 69.2 >>> M. Wykoff 70.7 LG K. Green 79.6 >>> A. Ogunbiyi 60.5 LT J. Johnson 60.9 >>> T. Zuhn 68.2 Line Avg 2021 - 72.56 Line Avg 2022 - 60.22
  17. Not so different than LSU fans who swore up and down that their octogenarian OC would be able to produce the same results as Joe Brady because he had 'the playbook' - except that Jimbo is being paid 100 million dollars to know better.
  18. If PFF grades are to be believed - Fatheree has significantly regressed from last year (72.4 last year vs. 56.5 this season). I've seen several aggy fans talk about Foster coming back as some sort of panacea for their OL troubles - but that seems ludicrous given how poorly he looked to end their season - and that he took time away from football and allegedly considered quitting.
  19. I want to see Sark send Worthy deep on the first play and tell Wright to unleash the dragon. Fuck it - we're going deep.
