  1. Story from last week; didn't see if it was posted. The farmer in it; his political stance is not mentioned. But I'd find it hard to believe he voted for Harris. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2025/04/recession-tariffs-canada-trump/682297/
  2. Sorry Boeing, we know you have enough on your plate as it is. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-04-15/china-tells-airlines-stop-taking-boeing-jets-as-trump-tariffs-expand-trade-war?embedded-checkout=true
  3. Wife and I are late to the party. We just started watching Season 1 about a month ago, and finished Season 2 last night. So, so good.

  5. Yes, but....they really didn't get that far ahead, because in terms of sales, they were limited on how many iPhones they could squeeze onto a plane. Plus, the point is moot after Trump capitulated today: https://daringfireball.net/2025/04/how_many_iphones_can_fit_on_a_freight_plane
  6. What a shame. https://www.wsj.com/business/autos/tesla-deletes-buy-option-for-model-s-and-x-from-china-website-a6612085
  7. Goddamn, I hope to hell Elon's children created the "glitch" and don't know how to fix it.
  8. Probably not solely for buses, since those funds could also be used to put in the infrastructure necessary to charge the buses as well. A neighboring district did something similar (already received the funding) and it paid for 13 buses, plus infrastructure to charge all 13.
  9. Yellow journalism never died, it just transformed from print to Fox, OAN, Newsmax, etc.
  10. China goes to 125% of US imports https://gss.mof.gov.cn/gzdt/zhengcejiedu/202504/t20250411_3961824.htm
  11. I still chuckle at statements people have had for decades now that "when the olds die off, the GOP will be finished" I was hearing this back in the 90's. It's 2025 and I'm still waiting.
