Correa was over 700 yesterday and so was Diaz to start the day. I screen shotted it and sent it to Andrew via text bc 8 of the 9 were over 700 and Walker was at like 684

Thanks. Was operating off small print on my phone. Appreciate explanation. Sort of a dumb chart.

I swear to all that’s good and holy when MLB (better be next year) finally implements a workable strike zone solution it will be the 3rd greatest day of my life, behind my marriage and baptism and ahead of the birth of my kids, the first time I lost my virginity (ouch that hurt - don’t touch me where my swimsuit covers), the day I rode in a helicopter in Alaska to the top of a glacier etc. we have the technology. We need to use it to solve the most pressing and important problems in the world like that ass clowns strikezone last night.

You are apparently missing the argument I’ve been making monthly for 18 months. I don’t care that they are always revised. I know they are always revised. I care that they are always revised downward, meaning BLS always (almost) misses in the same direction by overstating. last month I was like wonder of wonders they revised upward by 10k. Wow. Then this month they were like lol no, that 10k we revised up we are going to hit with 185k down.

Gettingnit right means missing both ways. The fact that it’s always revised downward means it’s broken. If you are missing randomly revisions should be up and down. Not always down.

He won’t throw those hard but he will hit Pena with a fastball or uncork on the double play when it’s 6-4-3

They say that. I think it ends up Correa at 2B. Paredes is fat and the rumor is his mobility is fucked forever.

Go look at the MBS charts and the bonds and what happens everytime jobs “outperforms”. It’s a run away in a bad way. the only reason Fed didn’t cut this time around was because they liked where the job situation was. What they liked was a mirage.

Are those colors right? Am I looking at it wrong? Do we really have tons more foreign born workers in our workforce than native? the upside down middle finger in government employees exerts a downward pressure on rates.

So, he’s got this wrong I’m pretty sure. They are still revising his jobs numbers down the next couple months. If you are in power that’s how you went it to play out. Everyone only looks at the headline and doesn’t pay attention to the revisions. He got a months worth of good headlines that apparently weren’t deserved as it related to jobs. I’ve settled above on rank incompetence. He is pining it on partisanship but he’s getting the same breaks he’s bitching about Biden getting. all that said if we’d have gotten the jobs numbers right for the last 18 months the Fed would be 100 basis points lower and mortgage rates would be as well.

I don’t believe that. I saw 251M. Those guys that say shit like that always get wrong the fact that you need to count benefits. I want a better source than those goofs (I like them- this ain’t their lane).

Jobs are fine. 4.2 isn’t going to cause any problems. 5% is considered everyone employed but the lame, lazy and halt interest rates are more determinative than jobs in the sector (for now). That can flip obviously but we are nowhere near that territory.

I don’t think that’s what’s going on. Look at the native born American numbers and the foreign numbers over the last 5 years and they are incredibly different. I think this is immigration related. I’m not swearing to that it’s my suspicion though. Lessening a population is never conducive to making GDP go up. Or filling more jobs. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea, just it’s going to have certain downstream effects and I’d think total job population would be one of them. At any rate, that wasn’t my point in the post you replied to (I think you know that) it was rather to point out that’s impossible to conceive of the BLS being partisan hacks anymore (that was one option on the table) we instead have to go with fucking incompetent. fix the damn model assholes.

OK, looking at the pitching schedule ESPN has posted for the first 2 series of roadtrip: Friday- Brown, Saturday- Gordon, Sunday- Valdez Mon- Unkown, Tue- Unknown, Wed- Brown. I bet that this schedule gets messed with. Brown needs more days off, not less. Wednesday against Miami would be 4 days rest- he hasn't been so good doing that this year. Arrighetti pitched today and threw 80 pitchers- Wednesday would be 5 days rest. I hope that it goes: Monday- Alexander, Tuesday- Ullola, Wednesday- Arrighetti. Friday Brown, Saturday- Framber, Sunday- Gordon LMJ on the disabled list. Gusto traded. Javier probably going to make 1 more start in Sugar Land and come up the next week. This would be an amazing time to tell Ullola- hey buddy- you get 1 start- in an almost major league park- and we already have your return ticket purchased. No big deal, get your feet wet- go striike some people out and try to walk fewer than 6 in 5 innings. Holy shit I'd be happy.

It’s had 5 hours to sink in and I’m happier than a 3 peckered billy goat. I’m telling yall this jams our window open to 2030 or beyond. we will be the AL favorites (or in a crowd of 2 or 3 teams anyway) at least through 2028, and I expect Dana to turn it all over by then. just a franchise altering deadline adding quality players with multiple years of club control, hanging onto every important prospect. we won’t have to go to FA until at least after 2027 for anything other then a backup catcher for a year or two. Outstanding.

Fuck em and feed them fish heads. We are better than those slapdicks and have a 5 game head start and an easier schedule coming in.

The only thing I care about in that line is 79 pitches. bring him up and start him 8/6. He might suck for a couple starts as he’s always been a slow starter at every level he’s at and this is a major readjustment but he will be rocking and rolling come September.

In the position players? Who is gone before the end of 27 other than Caratini (25) and Dubon (26).

I fucking hate that fucking arsonist so this is just the cherry on top of a wonderful fucking day. Fellas we just replaced 4 fucking piece of shit ass players that we've been playing every day for the last fucking month with Jeremy Fucking Pena, Carlos Fucking Correa, Urias and Jesus. Those guys are alright. Who they are playing for instead are awful. Your best 9 in the playoffs: Diaz, Walker, Urias, Pena, Correa, Alvarez, Jesus, Cam, Altuve-DH. Bench- Dubon, Caratini, Matthews, Melton. That team FUCKS. The best news is- other than Alvarez all those fuckers are here. So, Melton, Matthews or Caratini in his spot (If Caratini then Altuve to LF and Caratini to DH, if anyone else they play LF) and that team is fucking tits defensively (other than LF) and not a bad hitter offensively. Whooooooooooooooo! Also- everyone other than Caratini is back for at least next year. Everyone other than Dubon is back for 2027. This is awesome!

I’d trade for him too. something like JV and 4M for Jason Alexander and Shay Whitcomb. the Giants are working with JV to send him somewhere he’d like to be. I have to think that the list is houston and Detroit. he could be our 5/6 guy. Framber, Brown, Cease, Arrighetti, Javier, JV. That works for me dog.

Pretty sure they can fuck right off. Cesar is a rental. Their catcher position is fucked and they went to compete now. They need catcher, OF and Utility guy and their chip is a really talented pitcher pitching like shit this year. In no world is Yainer Diaz going over there even straight up.

Urias could absolutely allow them to move Dubon in a Cease deal. Cease deal could be something like: Dubon, Caratini and Melton for Cease. The Astros would still be under the CBT. They could then move something like Blubaugh or Gordon or Gusto for Mullins and $3M. That team is under the tax and your playoff roster likely would be: Diaz, Walker, Altuve, Pena, Urias, Trammel, Mullins, smith, Yordan 9 best arms: Framber, Brown, Cease, Hader, Abreu, Arrighetti, Javier, Garcia, Sousa tbats a roster that can win the World Series this year. The only piece that might be important that you gave up to accomplish that would be Melton. That’s a fair trade to me. that deadline wouldn’t be as sexy as Correa but it would be effective.
