  1. Back to back chicken shack! 2nd time in a row with the eagle! Wordle 456 2/6* 🟩[emoji834][emoji834]🟩[emoji834] 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  2. Nice after the strikeout yesterday. Wordle 455 2/6* [emoji834][emoji834]🟩🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  3. Its not a good feeling. I usually try to have guitars shipped to someplace where I know somebody will be home since. I just shipped 2 guitars that I sold in guitar boxes. UPS made me require a signature for delivery since I declared the value of each at over a grand.
  4. I've experienced that a few times. The worst in when the box has never been opened, they just forwarded it from the factory without even giving it a quick inspection. Ive returned a few that could've been avoided had somebody at the retailer just looked at it.

  7. You should. There are a lot of good tones down there and its a good way to be less loud without being less loud. There's a reason people a so esoteric on tone caps, and tone caps don't even come into play until the tone knob hits 8.
  8. Personally I like having both Volume and Tone. They come in handy. Especially tone.
  9. As would Keith Richards, Angus Young, and quite a list of guys actually. The blues is where it all comes from. All of it.
  10. I keep a different strap on each guitar. Most are cheap, nylon weave, but I do have decent leather straps on the P-Bass, Orange Gretsch, SG, and of course the Les Paul Signature Les Paul. I'm not happy with the strap I bought for the Rickenbass. It was a cheap wide one, but the Rick's a little neck heavy and I need something with a little grab like I have on the P'Bass. Speaking of. I saw Iron Maiden again last night and Steve Harris made me feel ashamed I ever thought I needed anything more than a P-Bass. The picture doesn't show it, but Steve plays with some big, heavy pad wrap around his strap that starts at his should and goes down the back. EDIT - I just Googled, the 2nd pic kinda shows it. I guess they are custom padded. That guy probably walks about 5 miles across the stage over show, so I'm sure it helps.

  12. Maiden was awesome last night as always. Thank you @thunderlounge
  13. I saw Tom Petty there from the 6th row q month before he died. I saw Jackson Browne there Friday. Great show. I knew I shoulda went to that NIN show Sunday. Ive been on a tear of shows the last couple weeks and took a pass. That was a mistake.
  14. I just sold one that was awfully similar. It helped cover the Rickenbass

  17. I just wrote about 3 metal songs playing through Ch3 and and dialed in the best AC/DC sound I've ever gotten while collecting a noise complaint from the bar bar downstairs! This things a beast.
  18. My new amp situation. The 1x12 arrived today. I've got a nice, fairly clean blues tone dialed in on Ch1, "my" sound dialed in on Ch2, and the high gain on Ch3 will be fun to play with. It takes a Shaggy Screamer exceptionally well as a lead boost. The 1x12" sounds good turned way down and is plenty loud to play out and I still have my 1960A if I need more. These are great, extremely versatile amps. I highly encourage checking them out if you have a chance. Mines the EL34 version, a lot of people prefer the 6L6 version. Eddie was very involved with the design and evolution of these amps. I'm coming to Texas this week to marry off my youngest daughter, but when I get back I will have fun pairing it with that Fender Rumble via the Rick-o-sound output on the new bass.
  19. My friend has a few limited / numbered prints, most early Beatles, and even took me to the Art Exchange where they whe premiering a run of limited Ringo Stones prints from some photographer who had toured w them. Personally I dont get it. I haven't looked into it from an investment standpoint, if they hold their value it could be worth it. I fill my stairwell with framed concert posters and whatnot. I find cheap frames at the thrift store, then find high res images online that I like, crop them to fit the frames, and order them printed at Walgreens for a couple bucks.

  23. I saw a young woman the other night who had a J-Bass dialed in as well as ive ever heard a bass sound. She played both with a pick and her fingers. I went to the stageafter their set to see what pedals she was using and there was nothing but a tuner ahead of the amp. Super cute too.
  24. I'm lucky I bought new. As complicated as this bridge is, I see they were even more complicated prior to a redesign in 2020 and old ones are nearly impossible to set up. You had to remove all the strings to make any adjustment to even 1.
