  1. They clearly need to do something. An idol that is played which blindsides someone out of the game or an alliance member out of the game is great TV. (Denise fucking Sandra over was one of the best if not the best moment of the season), 3 idols being played when there are 5 fucking people left in the game is not. It's just too fucking much. (in my opinion)
  2. This is an almost everyday occurrence at our house.
  3. Sorry I was over exaggerating. 100% and I wasn't discounting his 4 immunity wins. Just playing devils advocate on why or how someone else could have won but more importantly how I hate the fact there were 10 fucking idols found this season.
  4. She should/would have if at the very beginning instead of just watching her fire touch the string she added more sticks to the base. I also think that cost her $2M. As she pointed out Tony got all the glory but she was very much a part of most of their decisions in the game. That plus the speech she gave at the previous tribal would have won her enough votes to beat Nat.
  5. I have to assume that EoE was a big part of this season as a "thanks" to all the former winners. Nobody (except for Sandra) wanted to commit to going on the show, get voted out after 3 days and then be sent home. It was Survivor's way of allowing all of those former winners to get the air time and keep them "in the game". I generally agree I am not a fan of EoE but I view it the same way I do all of the extra idols, advantages, etc. It's changes producers have added to the game so if it's within the rules I guess it's fair game. I guess I am just more sick of all the idols being in play every week that I have less of a problem with Nat coming back from EoE and having a shot to win.
  6. "Jury management" They were clueless in your opinion. (Sorry couldn't help myself having Big Brother argument flashbacks!)
  7. My thoughts. Tony deserved to win in the new over idol'd world of Survivor. I am glad he won but overall I was really disappointed in the season I was expecting a hell of lot more out of all the former winners being there. Instead they just let Tony run around and find 12 idols and plot who to take out with Sarah. Nat- I don't give a shit that it wasn't in "the game" that was one of the most dominant physical performances ever on Survivor just unreal. As far as her not having a shot to win because she wasn't playing the game for most of the season- I would normally agree but when they throw in all the other advantages and idols does it really matter? They have changed the game so much it doesn't look anything like the game once did. Not to mention if it was old school Survivor Tony would have been voted out at 4 instead of making the final 3 by winning a fire challenge. Tony deserved the win but I would have been fine with either Michelle or Nat winning based on how things played out at the end. I also think Sarah wins if she didn't fuck up her fire. Good not great season. Maybe my expectations were too high. One last thing- Fuck Sandra and her quitting ass.
  8. The long term mental health issues that are going to come from this is going to be off the charts. The worst thing someone with any type of depression can do is stay inside 24/7.
  9. I am not a Tony fan but agree. I would have enjoyed it more if there were two dominant players that went toe to toe til the end but that obviously isn't going to happen. As impressive as Nat has been I think her getting back into the game and winning would be kind of a let down. But she has to be the clear front runner based on edit and all the advantages she has heading into the challenge to get back in.
  10. Does Tony get it done? Will Sarah turn on him? Will Nat come in last minute and steal it? Looking forward to what I hope is an epic finale tonight. Will be weird with no preview of next season to end it....
  11. 100%. Being in sales I have sat through plenty of motivational speakers from company dinners, rewards banquets, production trips, etc. Each is a little different some I would be rolling my eyes within a couple of minutes and others were down to earth and had outstanding messages. Gary isn't really much different but I do believe his hustle is real. I was on Cuban's short lived messaging app Dust for a while and Gary reached out to me completely out of the blue one day and just started asking me questions about what I did, how it worked, etc. That doesn't seem like that big of a deal but it did show me his talk of hustle isn't full of shit like plenty others out there. Plus his back story is pretty interesting and came here with pretty much nothing and now obviously is damn successful no matter how annoying. Back to speakers- Hands down one of the best- great message, stories, super nice guy and just an overall pleasure to listen to was former Longhorn swimmer Josh Davis.
  12. Forget the NBA. If anybody in any line of work had the same work ethic as he did they would no doubt be successful in said field. That takes time, a shit ton of work and dedication and lets face it the greats are those that understand that and put in said time and work. The fact that someone agrees he was the greatest ever but has a problem with talking a little shit is comical.
  13. I tried to explain this to my wife. If someone has never been in or around a competitive team environment they just wouldn't understand. Talking shit isn't done just to be an asshole it's done to try and motivate others around you to work harder and do their part. Does everyone have to act the way Jordan did to motivate guys? Of course not that is just how he did it. Others are quite leaders, some do it with more of a soft tone, etc. It's a waste of time to try and explain it to someone who hasn't been around it as they will never understand. That said the key to that is to still have the respect from those who you are tough on, some guys can handle it and others can't. I also hate to break it to people but there are a hell of a lot more "stars" in all sports that would be deemed assholes or jerks if they saw what went on in practice or in the locker rooms.
  14. If there is a football season (and that's a big if) there will be no or limited fans and a shortened schedule. I think that's best case as of this very moment.
  15. 100% I will say for all the minor annoyances I am damn glad I enjoy being around my wife. I couldn't imagine being in a marriage during lock down with someone I couldn't stand being around.
  16. You do realize that was a commercial correct? I just had that conversation with my wife last night on why she couldn't understand why he was such a jerk. I told her it's difficult to explain if you haven't been in the locker room or played a team sport. It was motivation, lead by example, and pushing the shit out of his teammates to have the same drive he did. It's why every single on of his teammates would say 100% he was an asshole but it wasn't done just to be an asshole it was done to motivate them to achieve their/his goal.
  17. I agree that they have a legit gripe with this. The rest not so much.
  18. My wife has a satellite office that she runs that has 6 people in it- can work from home or her office My office has been WFM for the last month+ and only about 4 people (out of 75+) are still in our office keeping things running. Kids pretty much need little to no help doing homework and just need a few checks and answer some questions they have with an assignment or something from time to time but very minimal, make lunch, etc. Last week my wife decided to start working from home a couple of days a week "to help" which as I am sure you can imagine turns into a shit show on those days. Don't get me wrong my wife is way busier then I am at work currently but wouldn't that be even a bigger reason to go to your office where you can get shit done and not have kids asking questions during a conference call or meeting? Well of course it would. But common sense as the last 224 pages has shown is not always at the top of the list. By the way I bet you can guess who's fault it is that she can't get as much shit done at home as she could at her office........
  19. All based on a very quick google search.
  20. Just a great watch again. A few things- 1. Pippen was a great player but was indeed soft. He couldn't handle being "the guy" instead of working harder when he was slighted he pouted. That is one of the massive differences between him and Jordan 2. The end of episode 7 was great and very telling. I expect you to put in the work but don't ever say I wasn't right there putting in the same effort that I asked of you. That right there is fucking leadership. 3. It's crazy that this footage was known about in the sports/basketball world but nobody ever thought the NBA or more importantly Jordan would give the green light to make something of it and agree for the footage to be used. Good podcast with Simmons and Mike Tollin (executive producer of the Last Dance) on how he finally got MJ to agree to do the doc- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN6_dpBT8gs
  21. 100% just as amazing that Faysal and Haleigh are still together as are Tyler and Angela.
  22. Ha, that's pretty damn funny. I did some actual work for a bit and when I came back the screen was a bad gateway error so I just hit refresh.
  23. The MTV question that everyone knows- The first video to play on MTV- I bet you didn't know the 2nd- Pat Benatar The absolute EVENT that this was-
  24. Yeah I like it and hate it. Granted they all have to cook food for a specific challenge but if I have never cooked "traditional southern" or "Haitian" food the only two people who could really go home in the new set up is the executive chef or the chef that runs the FOH of the house because the other two are just line cooks doing what the executive chef is telling them to do. Yes, I am aware that it's usually the executive chef or FOH chef that go home but how in previous RW if I made a shitty dish that was my concept based on the chosen theme of the restaurant I could go home. There is no way that would have happened last night so basically 4 chefs got a free pass to the next round.
