247 is completely biased. Perroni and company always get their guys pushed higher than they should. Green is a guard, but still gets rated as a 5-star tackle. Young is way overrated as a CB with bad measurables even for a safety. Similarly Slo'Neal had shitty measurables but was still a high 4-star. Williams has played the SEC mods game and they have gamed his rating by being a Bama commit until the last rankings updates have passed. Most of our guys are underrated on 247 and they throw us a bone by overrating a guy like Owens. The Texas 247 mods suck to the point that even an abject piece of propaganda shit like Perroni has more respect than EJ Holland. Sadly even the morons that populate the Texas 247 boards are smart enough to see where the real bias is on 247 and laugh at aggy acting like there is some BOMC when the reality is that aggy gets the reflected glory of the SEC heavyweights.
Or that ESPN has its biggest college football stake in the SEC and uses their influence to push them to higher ratings in the polls and indubitably pressures the playoff committee to give the conference preference in making CFP selections. Talk about a conflict of interest with real repercussions.
Didn't CTJ or Huckleberry say that almost 80% of these waivers are granted when requested? I am not sure the precedent hasn't already been set. Maybe not this very specific situation, but the idea that the NCAA isn't going to stand in the way of letting transfers, who feel slighted by their previous school, play immediately.
Saw a tweet that said only one of the DL/OL invited to this year's Senior Bowl was over 300 lbs when they entered college. The best college players are putting on weight in a controlled S&C/Nutritionist environment, not coming in being able to get free meals by eating 72oz steaks.
He is still 5 star in the composite, but if they are using stars as NFL projections, he will never sniff a second at tackle in the pros. He was already a blue chip as a sophomore, so I wondered how his film compared to Majors. I am going to guess his huge anchor is why he was so heralded and Majors isn't, to my untrained eye there wasn't much in his film that stood out as different from Majors's.
How does his film compare to this year's 5-star guard Kenyon Green? I watched both of their sophomore film to see how they compared at that age, but I am not well-versed in what makes a great OL. Green's base was already huge as a sophomore, but his feet looked heavy. Majors seems light in the butt by comparison, but he looked much nimbler. Both guys showed a lot of aggression.
So then just tell us what the fuck it supposedly is...if a deal can fall through over some shitty, cryptic tweet and a 6.99 guy saying some major may be happening, then it must have been some bullshit that wasn't going to happen regardless.
