  1. That's the genius of the Liucci 44. You don't know if any upcoming aggy commits are 45th or 445th when he moves them into his rankings. No one can be disgusted when Deneric Prince makes the Top 44, because Liucci surely had him at 45 or 46.
  2. fifESPN ESPN should be wondering if their SEC investment is that great. The SEC more than doubles the talent of the other conferences, but doesn't do much better than .500 against them at the end of the season.
  3. Counts as a legal signature in Aggyland. Each aggy has to have a different way of scrawling it to avoid identity theft.
  4. If Barton were smart, he would tell aggy that they dropped Green because he isn't an NFL tackle. He should tell them that if they had listed Green as guard he would have kept that 5th star, but there was an outcry when they tried to relist him as a guard. So bye-bye 5th star.
  5. My translator says "Hole of Glory".
  6. You had the real transaction between Hamm and FWK hidden in there...no need to overcomplicate things.
  7. Still 12 spots behind aggy. They also played a lot of close games against mediocre to bad P5 teams. The big difference seems to be they played 3 G5 or lower teams and won them handily. We played 1 G5 and didn't look great. I am going to guess that Connelly's system claims to be adjusted, but in the end a conference that averages 3 G5 or lower games per team (and of course, on average, destroys those teams) is going to get a boost once all the cross-pollination occurs. I also think the high rankings for UCF, Fresno St, App State, and Utah State suggests beating up on weak teams is the best way to improve S&P.
  8. I'm leaning this way too. The transfer portal is probably going to peak in the next couple of years as both players and coaches try to see where it can take them. Probably lose a couple of guys we don't want to along with a bunch that are told to take advantage of the new transfer rules.
  9. It can also point out the move towards Big 12-style play with the Chiefs and Rams and KK getting the job at Arizona. That will likely see more Big 12 players drafted in the future. Texas is playing in a conference that will prepare a player for the new look NFL. Sure it may never take root and the NFL may never draft more Big 12 players, but you can say it to the next couple of classes and not be scoffed at or called a liar.
  10. Almost everyone agreed Porter was going to suck.
  11. Is it Ruben Fatheree next to Washington?
  12. Well Such at OB did say he talked with someone there and it was basically much ado about nothing unless you are a thin skinned bitch of an aggy and/or have a negative story about Texas you have already prepackaged and are now selling to the worst pieces of shit in the business.
  13. Lulz. Demas decides to keep visiting campuses after he has already committed to another school and then his vag gets drippy when he gets called out for being committed to a school whose whole schtick is dick measuring against its betters. We should keep bringing him in so the others can see how thin aggy skin really is.
  14. There should be enough room for our staff to continue to recruit the best of the best even if they work with FWK. Demas maybe a guy you don't bother with anymore based on his reaction to our pitch, but there will probably be another FWK player in the future that will buck the trend and choose us. Usually these bag men get greedy, keeping most of the payout and not giving it to the player. A some point a player decides to go with his gut rather than his trainer's wallet. Also by trying to recruit these guys you can at least record the admission that the player is for sale and the trainer's process of getting paid. Maybe you can use that information and hopefully send FWK on a one way trip to Spec's.
  15. Interesting to see how CDC approaches these situations where we have a coach that wins a lot of games but doesn't actually win anything of note. Can Aston turn the corner or will she be the Mack Brown of Texas Women's basketball? Will CDC take the Dodds approach and watch Baylor win conference title after conference title while being content with our runner-up status so long as there are an adequate number of wins each season? I don't think Dodds meddled too much with staff choices during his tenure, but I think he did make staff ultimatums to both Brown and Barnes as they reached their stagnation points. Seems too late at that point, but maybe he was more involved that I remember.

  17. That might be the best case then. 1. We get another QB1 in this class. 2. Card rides pine while Roschon does his. 3. Card transfers. 4. The other guy stays and either takes over for Roschon or bridges the gap to the next big thing. 5. Profit.
  18. They had Erick Young better slotted at 60 than as a 5 star, still think he isn't a Top 100 player. Think they underrate Leal and way overrate Green.
  19. If you go back and look at the rankings from around 2002-2006 and probably back as far as Rivals goes (I think they were the first with national rankings), you will find that California and Texas made up a higher percentage of 5-stars than they do today. The decline miraculously coincided with Pete Carroll going back to the NFL and a few years before Mack Brown was killing himself down in Florida. (It is now clear he was hitting up the SEC states because the state of Texas one year just suddenly stopped producing high level talent and Mack was actually ahead of the curve.)
  20. While Dusty's weapon of choice may be in doubt, your lack of values isn't.
  21. The shocking revelation is the idea being suggested that if UCF had just scheduled and beat Florida in the regular season it would legitimize them as playoff contenders, regardless of the fact that there are 11 other games that delegitimize their claim. Prior standing doesn't really matter. If the P5 split off, they are taking programs like Wake Forest and Boston College that probably don't deserve to be there and leaving behind programs like BYU and perhaps UCF and Boise State that are making a real financial attempt at trying to belong in the upper half of the division. Over time teams will move up and down just like they do currently, but the threshold for being in the top group will be more than the silly 15,000 average home attendance.
  22. Wait, when did Lee cancel his OV? Where are the posts of all the aggy tears?
