  1. The government is refusing to recognize detainees’ civil rights. Habeas corpus goes back to the Magna Carta. Any thoughts, @sheeeit? https://www.npr.org/2025/08/04/1256727547/1a-08-04-2025
  2. No chance there’s a fair election. A landslide D victory threatens the regime in absolute terms. Article 2 section 4, don’t you know.
  3. Yeah, no. At least, your proportions are incorrect. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ice-detentions-non-criminal-immigrants-violent-crime-convictions-analysis/
  4. CPB required taxpayer money because Congress voted to appropriate money for that purpose. This Congressional majority ran on reducing the budget, and, instead, bloated the budget. Arguing CPB is a reason for the cost overrun is trolling, because the cost of CPB is minuscule. Ignoring the reasons why the budget shot skywards is disingenuous, and that, too, is the behavior of a troll.
  5. I know this says more about me than them, but I thought I heard that woman say their plan was to go out and show the world “our clit.” So, can anyone tell me what was said?
  6. PBS has a reputation for getting the facts correct. It also has a reportedly slight bias: center-left. Calling that bias propaganda, as others have done, is ludicrous. Getting exercised by a slight lean to the left of center is your prerogative. I’m more concerned by news outlets that fabricate news, like FOX. More so, given the number of FOX employees employed in the executive branch of government.
  7. Yeah, I needed John Oliver to explain all that to me.
  8. Dammit. Just when I dared believe it wasn’t scat porn talk.
  9. “This program was made possible with contributions by viewers like you.”
  10. Dawned on me that the Surly username @Ag with kids describes, not a family man, but a salesman. At least that is what tracks as a continuing supporter of this regime.
  11. I’ve had matcha served the way it is served in the ancient tea ceremony. Very formal, and also elitist. Nevertheless, its roots are grounded in natural beauty. The tea tastes of chlorophyll, I am told. For whatever reason, it made me think of the ocean. Maybe I thought of seaweed, because it isn’t salty or fishy. It’s not unpleasant, but it must be an acquired taste.
  12. Read. You might learn something. Bears repeating that federal overruns skyrocket under R administrations, and contract under D administrations.
  13. Freeloading? Here’s the meta view of freeloading: https://www.bls.gov/productivity/
  14. Eliminating health insurance companies would save the citizens approximately 450 billion a year, if we are talking about cutting and saving. https://www.citizen.org/news/fact-check-medicare-for-all-would-save-the-u-s-trillions-public-option-would-leave-millions-uninsured-not-garner-savings/
  15. I am not an expert on turnip and Epstein’s rape victims. Nor in spotting deep fake videos. I see lists of supposed victims sometimes, once a list of preteen boys allegedly raped by tfg, which I don’t post, but this post can at least be evaluated on its own merits.
  16. Much easier to ignore the destruction of the rule of law, the evil of deportee torture camps, the wholesale grift that has replaced governing, and the misery that will result from 17 million citizens losing healthcare. Damn you.
  17. This. Everything he touches turns to shit
  18. This brings to mind one obvious omission in Ben Franklin’s “Advice to a Friend on Choosing a Mistress.”
  19. That is her story. She refused, she says, but was coerced by her “recruiter” to do the gloved covered deed.
  20. If they are successful, expect every property in the state to have a congressional district that includes coastline.
  21. I think the proposal gives the nothern Hays congressional district more of Texas’ coastline than any other district.
  22. Woman says that at the age of 13, while they were watching an orgy at Epstein’s turnip asked her for a handjob, but insisted she wear a glove.
