Texas Offseason 2025 - Archmania Is Upon Us
For no definable reason, every time I see this guy’s name I think Entrails, not Endries. Entrails has got to be the worst nickname in sports history.

Do you have to have paramount plus to watch it?

Ok, that was my read of the situation, and I wasn’t sure whether I’d just read it wrong.

Ghislaine "Sgt. Schultz" Maxwell: "I know NOTH-ING"
I feel like you guys are talking in circles. Maybe there’s confusion and we just need a reset. Republicans have stated either they can’t release information, or there’s no information to release. For example, today some Florida judge rejected the release of some information. We all believe this is bullshit. The files are there. They just aren’t releasing it and people are pissed. However, some Republicans are pointing out that Biden had several years to release information and didn’t either. Why is it ok for Biden to have sat on it but not Trump? In other words, shouldn’t both be catching hell for sitting on it? Wildcat’s answer to this makes no sense. If your rationale is that Biden shouldn’t have released information because people in DoJ wouldn’t allow it, then just because Trump is interfering with the DoJ doesn’t mean he should violate DoJ reasons for not releasing it. My question is, what specifically has changed that is a valid legal reason for releasing the files? Seems like Biden screwed up too. That’s what I’m trying to understand.

Ok…so why is it different now?

I'll Admit It -- I Watched the Friends Reunion and Really Enjoyed It.
It’s an ok show, but deserves nowhere near the adulation it receives. Over-rated.

Ghislaine "Sgt. Schultz" Maxwell: "I know NOTH-ING"
I haven’t followed this thread. Too long and moves too fast. What’s the story behind the Democrats not releasing the files when they were supposedly in charge. Is that true or more bullshit from Republicans?

Isn’t Philip a jackass? Trying to remember.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
I know Texas tends to not badmouth other schools as part of their recruiting strategy, but Georgia is reaching the point where parents ought to be concerned about their meal tickets, er kids, going to a school where ending up with a conviction is more likely than ending up in the nfl.

Texas Offseason 2025 - Archmania Is Upon Us
Overshown was on The Ticket this morning. Such a great guy. Said Arch looks incredible and is a national championship quality QB. Said the team looks great. If our OL performs this team can be really really good.

Your assessment is level headed and reasonable. There are, however, a billion people who go insane over the show.

All Hail Pork thread
Question for folks experienced with cooking pork shoulder. We don't cook a pork butt or shoulder very often but when we opened the package today, there's a pretty strong smell. I vaguely remember this being typical for opening up pork butt or pork shoulder packages, but I'm a bit concerned maybe the meat has gone bad? It looks normal red, no gray, and the smell does seem to dissipate after awhile. That's just the packaged smell, right? I think I had this concern the last few times I fixed carnitas, but I can't recall.

I'll Admit It -- I Watched the Friends Reunion and Really Enjoyed It.
Channel surfed by an episode of Friends and it confirmed my thesis that it’s the most over-rated show in TV history, and Gordon Keith backs me up on this so there’s no point in arguing over it. It’s science.

OU Recruiting 2023: Blowing and Going
Wow. This is incredible. It also shows how the ranking services don’t know shit about fuck, although lack of development may be partially to blame here.

All Encompassing Investment and Financial Planning Thread for the Surly 99.5%
Its really ridiculous. You go to all this trouble to save on taxes, only to just give it all up to a financial planner who basically has the right professional software to do the analysis correctly. None of the consumer software products are good enough.

Getting old sucks
I went back to Dallas to visit old friends. I now believe that there are no more natural knees, shoulders, or hips in existence in the bodies of anyone over 60.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
Dang sorry to hear that about your health. It also sounds like there is potentially really an honesty issue with the recruit. Maybe it’ll work out. Teens are often immature.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
Why wouldn’t a recruit shop an offer? They could be doing it for a few good reasons. First, they may want to flesh out whether Texas’ offer is truly best and final, in the hopes of having Texas move up. Second, they want to see how much more they could make elsewhere. That then allows them to make an informed decision. Even if a recruit is locked in to Texas, it makes sense to still do a check on the market. Poster’s angst is stupid, unless the recruit is lying to Texas.

How in the hell has the Netflix show Tires not been brought up in this thread. It’s a very refreshing funny show. It’s stupid humor but funny.

Texas A&M Recruiting 2026: The World's Drunkest Elk
Holy shit this is a great post. Every year I have some vague notion that surely A&M has to be good, and then posts like this insert reality into my brain. Amazing.

The other thing about Mike Leach that some forget is the fact he installed the offense at OU that won the national champsionship for them in 2000 under Mangino as OC, and led to their Big 12 success for so many years.
