Texas Basketball 2025-26: It’s Miller Time
I never heard of this guy until a few hours ago, so I’m going to go ahead and declare him to be a critical missing piece to the roster who will have a huge impact on the team’s success this year. All joking aside, it seems like every elite college team has an inside bruiser who can play physical down in the box. I’ve been wishing for that for Texas for years. We’ve had a few guys somewhat like that, but if this guy could fill that role it would be huge imo.

4th of July Texas Flood
I always read that complaint from the CR crowd, but personally I haven’t seen it. Not saying it’s not happening. I just haven’t noticed it. And it’s difficult for me to believe @immamac is doing much of that because he’s politically pretty reasonable. Bob too.

4th of July Texas Flood
I agree with @immamac. It’s fairly straightforward to figure out what becomes CR and what is just news, for the most part. And while I dislike the maga crowd with the heat of a thousand suns, I don’t want to scroll thru news threads and constantly have to read the same 10-20 posters bitch about the stupidity of the Republican Party. Why not? Because they are doing so many stupid things these days it’s turned into a constant barrage of stupidity. Every fucking day Trump and his staff do something stupid, illegal, or immoral. And people, myself included, just can’t take that misery constantly every day. It’s too depressing. Just keep that shit in a CR thread and it’s manageable.

4th of July Texas Flood
It’s hard for me to hold parents responsible for not looking deeper into the flood safety procedures of these camps, when just five days ago I made a reservation on the Blanco River in an RV park and never once thought about the flood risk.

Culpable? He’s probably why Finley did it.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
Every stupid thing a kid does is a data point about his or her character. Doesn’t necessarily mean they will suck as athletes for their college, but odds are odds.- July 4th Hill Country Flooding Tragedy
Did Austin firefighters deploy to Liberty Hill and Georgetown? Because I know for a fact that Round Rock firefighters deployed to Liberty Hill and performed numerous water rescues and evacuations.- July 4th Hill Country Flooding Tragedy

Admit you spent 9 hours crafting your post.- 2025 Thread of the Rains
Yes, I mentioned it above somewhere. San Saba is tore up on the east side and the river is still very wide and flowing hard.- 2025 Thread of the Rains
San Saba county has a flood warning until 7 pm Tuesday.- 2025 Thread of the Rains
Pouring in leander- 2025 Thread of the Rains
Just drove thru San Saba. Lots of out of town fire trucks in the area. The San Saba River is swollen big. Floods cut thru on east side of town. And it’s pouring rain a mile east of town. Fortunately it’s moving east.- 2025 GOLF: I don't think the heavy stuff's gonna come down for quite a while
Do those apps cause the Apple Watch battery to burn down fast? I’m unclear whether it’s turning on the gps, or using gps from the iPhone.- Describe the posters on your ignore list without using their usernames.
Oh hell no. Scorpio’s the best poster in this site.- 2025 Thread of the Rains
Thank you sooo much. This is exactly what I had been trying unsuccessfully to find.- Describe the posters on your ignore list without using their usernames.
Finally put a poster on ignore that I should have years ago. He’s incredibly unfunny but thinks he is. No more scrolling thru his garbage posts.- 2025 Thread of the Rains
Google maps shows 183 closed at the North San Gabriel . Is that not the case?- 2025 Thread of the Rains
Good ideas, if I can figure out how to navigate thru 183 or i35 near town. So is 29 still screwed? I can’t find any information.- 2025 Thread of the Rains
So we need just a little bit of help. I’m trying to accompany my daughter and grandkids back from the San Angelo area to Round Rock tomorrow. I’m trying to figure out the safest path back, but the problem is that both San Saba and Llano are showing extensive flooding. So I don’t know if it’s clear on 190 east thru San Saba. It seems like 29 thru Llano is toast. Thoughts?- 2025 Thread of the Rains
I’m guessing about 50%.- 2025 Thread of the Rains
Just had a family member drive from Kingsland to Austin. 71 was fine. 1431 has closed spots. - Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
