  1. "We've got ourselves another Leon O'Neal! Whoop!" - aggie
  2. Go easy on him, it's hard to tell a coach no. He just wants to please everyone.
  3. He didn't say it. It's not true. Just another in a long list of aggie made up shit that they repeat until they believe. https://www.barrypopik.com/index.php/new_york_city/entry/give_me_a_handful_of_texas_aggies_and_ill_win_a_war_general_george_s_patton World War II General George S. Patton is often quoted as saying: “Give me an army of West Point graduates, and I’ll win a battle. Give me a handful of Texas Aggies, and I’ll win a war.” The quote appears on some Aggie T-shirts, but no source has been found. Most scholars believe that Patton never said it. The earliest recorded citation is from 1993. Misattributed Mike Province, founder and president of The Patton Society calls this an urban legend and in the Texas A&M Battalion (2 October 2006) is quoted as saying “I’ve gotten e-mails and questions regarding that quote for several years… People will use it with Texas Aggies, The Citadel, Virginia Military Institute and even Clemson. All of these schools want to be linked to Patton… Anything is possible… I honestly don’t believe he said it, because I’ve heard too many people say that he said it about their school. But if anyone out there can find proof that he said it, I’d love to hear about it and get it out there.”
  4. I dump the roster from the UT Athletics website into the depth chart spreadsheet periodically (look for the Roster tab). Here's a filter with no Undeclared (38), Exercise Science (2), Physical Culture and Sports (10), or blanks (20).
  5. They're listed under Edge/Jack. Here's the full defense:

  7. The aggies had 7 home games to choose from for their Maroon Out game and they chose Mississippi St, the only opponent with maroon as their team color?
  8. The Aggie by Class tab shows the status of every signee since 2017, sorted by year then ranking. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TzoBTIvCXfZIk7Sz3C9txMg0yPvrXyVM/edit?usp=drivesdk&ouid=111720819493539103059&rtpof=true&sd=true 7 transfers from 2022 class. Anthony Lucas is the only DL so far. Others were: Denver Harris Chris Marshall Smoke Bouie PJ Williams Groves-Killebrew Ish Harris
  9. He should go to Okie St to complete the FU Dad trilogy.
  10. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TzoBTIvCXfZIk7Sz3C9txMg0yPvrXyVM/edit?usp=drivesdk&ouid=111720819493539103059&rtpof=true&sd=true The Aggie Grid tab shows all scholarship players by position and signing class. The total players and average rating are shown at the bottom. They are at 75
  11. They constantly spew hatred but somehow believe that being nice is the aggie brand.
  12. They've been saying that the proof that the NCAA screwed them on their seeding with PSU was that they should have been a 5 seed per the most objective measure which is the NET Rankings. As a 5, they'd match up with a much easier 12 seed. So I looked at the NET Rankings to see if there were any teams ranked 45-48 (equating to a 12 seed) that were in the Midwest region. There was one:
  13. Standard caveats apply: - The class column assumes that everyone that is eligible for a Covid year takes it. - I'm not sure of the differences between Edge/Jack/Buck/Sam, so slotting players in those rows is based on Surly feedback. - I track all incoming freshman as redshirting until they're not. - There are Texas by Class and Aggie by Class tabs if you want to see what happened to every signee for those 2 schools since 2017. - There is an Aggie Grid tab that shows scholarship players by position and year signed.
  14. Waiting to hear Liucci say that McGee was just one of several candidates, not even the top candidate, and no offer was made.
  15. Here's their scholarship players plus a WO K that starts (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TzoBTIvCXfZIk7Sz3C9txMg0yPvrXyVM/edit#gid=529379820). I didn't include Ainias Smith because he was recognized on Senior Day, but he could return if he doesn't like his draft outlook. Too much work for me to track the depth chart, so I just use Our Lads (https://www.ourlads.com/ncaa-football-depth-charts/depth-chart/texas-am/92039).
  16. I believe they have 73 on scholarship (includes NSD2 commits and portal commits, excludes expected early entry NFL).
  17. I posted this in the Football/Tell me about A&M thread, but I've updated the Texas Football Depth Chart file (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TzoBTIvCXfZIk7Sz3C9txMg0yPvrXyVM/edit#gid=1253781136) to include tabs for tracking attrition by class (look for Texas by Class and Aggie by Class). I also added an aggie depth chart. Here's their defense (not sure if Russell is returning at LB): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TzoBTIvCXfZIk7Sz3C9txMg0yPvrXyVM/edit#gid=529379820
  18. If you're interested in seeing the Texas or Texas A&M attrition by class, I've added tabs to the Texas Depth Chart Google Sheet. They are sorted by year, then 247 composite score. All the links are to the same fie, I just added the direct link to the specific tab since there are a lot. Texas by Class: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TzoBTIvCXfZIk7Sz3C9txMg0yPvrXyVM/edit#gid=300393870 Aggie by Class: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TzoBTIvCXfZIk7Sz3C9txMg0yPvrXyVM/edit#gid=1912575733 Here's what it looks like with the Status filtered to just show the transfers, medical retirements, and expulsions (2017-2022 classes): Aggie Depth Chart (aka Aggie Grid): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TzoBTIvCXfZIk7Sz3C9txMg0yPvrXyVM/edit#gid=529379820. The grid view shows all scholarship athletes and the year they signed. I excluded those that were recognized on Senior Day, but Ainias Smith might return.
