  1. no, the members of this board overuse disingenuous arguments. i just point them out.
  2. this conversation started before the games were played and before shead was injured. shaka faced three double digit seeds, duke faced the no.2 overall team in the field and the #2 most popular pick to win the title. of all the disingenuous arguments around here lately this one might take the cake.
  3. uh, yes, seriously. jamal shead was not injured heading into that game. there is no way in hell that you’re convincing me or anyone else that vermont > jmu > HOUSTON is an easier road than wku > colorado > nc state. on path faces all double digit seeds, the other faces the no.2 overall seed in the entire tourney. this is not even an argument.
  4. this should get you sent down for a couple of weeks. three runs ended up coming around:
  5. lol wut? duke had to play houston, who they would have lost to had ahead not gotten hurt in the 1h. how is that an easier path than 15 seed wku > 10 seed colorado > 11 seed NCState? get real man.
  6. shaka is very proud to be the only guy out there just ignoring the existence of the transfer portal:
  7. for a school that’s all about basketball their fans are pretty stupid. 90% of them are adamant that there’s absolutely nothing that shaka could do last night, and that the loss was 100% on the players. here’s a wild idea- and mind you i’m not someone who gets paid obscene amounts of money to coach basketball- but how about a plan b?!?!? his teams have lost big games in this manner countless times throughout the years, and every single time, instead of making any adjustments, he just sits back and watches his team brick 100 threes and then run back on defense the moment the shot hits the rim. he’s a totally inept game day coach who cannot adjust when faced with adversity. shaka smart has never won a game because of his in-game coaching/adjustments. he rolls out his game plan, crosses his fingers, hops onto the court to defend the opposing PG for a play or two, and lets the chips fall where they may. thank god that loser is never coming near this program again.
  8. marquette fans throwing the entire team under the bus and claiming that shaka had nothing to do with the loss last night: https://www.muscoop.com/index.php?topic=66037.0
  9. looks like elite offense is the name of the game this year: by AdjO: AdjD:
  10. really happy for coach barnes. that was a really good win. and now, either rick barnes or matt painter is going to the final four. i’m rooting for rick in his rematch with the boilermakers.
  11. marquette’s players didn’t have enough better tomorrows coming into this game, and their SEAL training clearly didn’t kick in. no amount of breathing exercises was going to overcome all that.
  12. it’s entirely possible that. out we’re about to be fired.
  13. that’s the thing about shaka- it’s all too predictable, down to the very manner in which his team will lose.
  14. right now this is a prime example of where shaka’s outright refusal to have his team even try for offensive rebounds hurts his teams. it’s hard to comeback from 14 down when you play five-out and refuse to crash.
  15. i’ve seen marquette players carry/double dribble with no call more times than i can count.
