  1. https://fox4kc.com/news/70-of-chiefs-fans-who-suffered-frostbite-at-bitter-cold-playoff-game-need-amputations/
  2. damn. maybe he just tweaked it and we sat him to make sure he was healthy for the postseason. really hope that’s the case.
  3. i’ve unfortunately suffered seven knee injuries (subluxed right kneecap five times + torn meniscus, plus i dislocated and tore the mcl in my left knee). even if it is just a sprain you have got to do some real rehab to get the stability back in your knee. never mind the mental fuck that is trying to come back to play competitive sports when your body has failed you so many times. whatever his knee injury is i doubt we will see him again before the postseason, possibly even the big dance.
  4. i gotta give it up to you, that’s pretty damn funny. best team name i’ve seen in a minute lol.
  5. i feel about him the same i felt about andy reid before he won his first super bowl. just a great guy, beloved by his players, a great regular season coach, but one who’s known for repeatedly falling short in the postseason. you just want a guy like that to get over the hump, because he deserves it, as much anyone deserves to win a sports championship anyway. it’s the only thing really missing from his coaching career. i’ll be rooting very hard for the vols in the tourney.
  6. congrats to coach barnes and tennessee. first outright sec title for the vols since 2007. one of the best coaching jobs of rick’s career as well. well earned for coach barnes and the vols.
  7. pancho is using the criteria that hook em came up with. any top five coach will make the tourney at any school, no matter what.
  8. tom izzo went 15-13 at michigan state three years ago. guess that disqualifies him from being considered a top 5 coach.
  9. holy shit these officials are keeping SC in this. asinine officiating.
  10. been watching this tennessee game from the opening tip, as i often do, and jimmy dykes is unequivocally more tolerable than fran, who again, i used to be a fan of. i’ve barely even noticed JD’s presence.
  11. and as for YOUR argument that RT not winning shit in 10 years as a HC at those two schools says nothing about him as a HC (a lazy, laughable take), i’ll just go ahead and copy/paste what i said the last time i dunked all over that asinine argument: the fact that other coaches haven’t done much better at fresno and utep doesn’t say anything positive about RT, yet i’ve seen this argument countless times here. He Who Shall Not Be Named went to UALR and in his first year there he won more than anyone else had ever won there before; then he went to TTU and pretty much immediately took that program further than it had ever been- twice; then he came to Texas and within ~17 months of being hired had Texas at no.1 in kenpom for the first time ever; now he’s at ole miss and he’s once again winning at a level that the coaches who came before him couldn’t reach. that’s what really good coaches do.
  12. who said that? that’s that same straw man argument that you RT apologists (which you literally are being right now, despite your denial of this) keep bringing up over and over. “oh he sucks because he didn’t win big at schools where other shitty-mediocre coaches also failed to win big!” that’s you guys saying that. nobody else. all the rest of us have said is that he’s not good enough to be the HC at Texas, which is empirically evident, and not even a little bit controversial. but yeah bro, you’re the champion of nuance and totally not an RT apologist. 👌🏻
  13. LMAO. this from the guy who just slammed chris beard for not making the tourney year 1 at a school that’s been to the tourney nine times in 100+ years and has won a total of three first round tourney games ever. you’re on a roll today fam. that’s too good.
  14. this is their entire program history for christ's sake: but yeah, epic failure not making the tourney this year at this broken down pit stop of a school. edit: you’ve made an argument so disingenuous and wrong that for the first time in internet history, the “coach k didn’t make the tourney his first four years!!!” argument is actually applicable and valid. well done.
  15. dude, come on. he’s in year one at one of the worst programs in major cbb playing in one of the best conferences in america, and he runs a system which requires a specific player type for it to succeed. he isn’t even running his system this year. this is a wildly cynical take coming from an unabashed RT apologist.
  16. I always just go park my car at the Hancock center and then take an Uber to and from the game.
  17. vols need a win on the road tonight to secure the league title. knowing rick, this seems like the perfect time to take the SC ML.
  18. they showed a graphic during the 3Q last night that showed that the suns are the worst 4Q team in the nba by an almost unbelievable margin- as in 3x worse in the 4Q than the next worst team in the list. the suns proceeded to lose the 4Q 21-12 and got taken to OT. you can’t be the worst team in the nba (ever?!?) in the 4Q and be considered a contender.
  19. now this is true. huge sec hack. still prefer him to lowell by a million miles, and still like listening to him more than fran. well, it’s close anyway.
  20. i watch his broadcasts all of the time, and he’s jim nantz compared to lowell galindo. as for fran, i used to really like him because he always really liked us. he obviously loves rick barnes and he was really a big UT cheerleader for years because of that, but in recent years fran is the definition of hack. i’ll take jimmy dykes all day > fran and lowell.
