  1. 100% agree. But it's not just TW, it's generally that retail price everywhere now.
  2. If this game was in College Station I would kinda fear for his life.
  3. Prudent move by Florida to wait until next year to fire Napier.
  4. But there is artificial boosting based on if you pay for Twitter or not. All the top replies are from Twitter blue checks, making reasonable discourse completely impossible.
  5. The ignorance Musk speaks with in regards to X and their algorithm is amazing to watch. He mentions how bad it is on TikTok (he's right), but doesn't realize X is now doing the exact same thing on the For You page. Since he's purchased Twitter, I now am fed video clips of people being shot and killed on my For You page. I do not follow these accounts. I do not engage with these accounts. The algorithm also shows me tweets from far right political accounts. I've purposely curated my feed to not be about politics anymore. If I watch a few seconds of a right winger's video and then refresh my For You page, I'm completely inundated with more Far Right posts and video. It's the same rabbit hole bullshit that happens on TikTok.
  6. Elon is used to a bunch of ass kissers roaring with laughter at every "joke" he makes in a conference room. Watching him seek approval from the audience is painful.
  7. When I search "Elon" right now on Twitter, every single Top tweet is from a right-winger or pro-Elon account. Quite the algorithm from this asshole.
  8. Elon using the term "Earth" is his belief that everyone else in the world is with him. What a fucking lunatic. Shame on all the pathetic sycophants that stroke the ego of this socially/emotionally stunted dumbass.
  9. I like Tate and Holiday in the rotation. This team is deep. Hopefully Amen gets back soon. The big, lingering question: When do you give Cam Whitmore a real chance with this squad? His upside is pretty fucking high. His potential and development will affect Jalen's future with this team IMO.
  10. Last 4 road losses have been tough. Played well but can't finish games. The Rockets are clearly SO much better, but opponents are also taking us much more seriously. They know we're good and won't get caught off guard. Still love what I'm seeing, hopefully we get that first road win soon.
  11. Hmmm, wonder what their research digs up.
  12. Bored as hell at work today so made this edit. elko.mp4
  13. Elko has a solid reputation throughout college football and I generally trust the good things players/analysts say about him. But not an ideal situation to come back to CS as a bandaid to "beat Texas" next year and keep their prized recruiting class together. If they have a leash on Elko they're not gonna get the most out of him. We had to roam the desert for over a decade to get the culture/program back on track. A&M has similar institutional hurdles. They got burned by giving Jimbo all the power, but the reality is they still need a HC that can build it his way.
  14. Would seem to be a good hire, but his name is attached to some HC vacancies as well.
  15. Aggies really milked that COVID year with Jimbo and Elko. That fat teat should be bone dry by now.
  16. A&M had a very specific search where they wanted a beer-bellied former Jimbo DC that currently coaches at a basketball school.
  17. Elko's cow tipping skills translate very well in College Station.
  18. Wouldn't surprise if they go down the list to a former Aggie to appease the masses at this point. Aaron Glenn?
  19. We looked terrible for the first 2.5 quarters, but good job turning it on and running away with game tonight vs. Memphis.
  20. Thought about and found this comment I made on the original thread when we hired Sark. https://www.surlyhorns.com/board/topic/18387-sark-after-dark-coaching-staff-thread/?do=findComment&comment=2928129 "I haven't been following our program/recruiting as closely anymore, and I don't know any more about Sarkisian that the average fan. But here's a contrarian take about hiring him. I kinda like the fact that his career has had some serious bumps. He's always been highly regarded as a coach, but had average success at Washington and USC. Obviously he has some personal demons that affected his career and family as well. But it looks like he's got himself back together. Good for him. Herman had nothing but success at Ohio State and UH, and he "led" this program with an asshole know-it-all mentality. Maybe we need someone with a sense of humility and who has been through some ups and downs in life. I don't give a flying fuck what any other opposing program or fan thinks of this hire. I just want results."
