I don't disagree with any of this.
I think Sark made a devastating miscalculation offensively this offseason. After two semifinal appearances, tons of NFL draft picks, and # 1 recruiting class, it feels like Sark probably thought he had this program on cruise control. That he could replace 4 OL in-house and his offense would blossom with Arch at the helm. That the RB room was deep. That the NFL draft success confirmed their belief in their excellent evaluation & development process.
That was obviously a huge whiff. All the little red flags have blown up. I'm sure he understands that at this point, and we can only put on band-aids to fix things right now. What's done is done, this season is most likely a throw away. It fucking sucks. I hate it.
Since he has shown to been an excellent CEO & program leader, let's hope he makes the proper adjustments this offseason on his terms. That's all I'm saying. Whether that's staff changes, heavy portal pick-ups, change in personal responsibilities on game day, etc. If it's forced on him by CDC or other outside forces, I just can't imagine a happy ending.
