I like the site because sports and TV shows are the things I'm worried about in shifting over from a projector. They give you a good idea how those might look and the ratings are very helpful. You can also compare other TVs on the same page. I think all the motion blur technology that made HD look like it was a live TV broadcast was what threw us off from moving over. I know you can turn those settings off but I want to be able to see more than just demos. That was a nice thing about when I looked at a front projector at Nebraska Furniture Mart. I was able to take the remote and log into YouTube to see how things looked from there. 4K stuff was amazing.
Honestly, I may just see who has the best return policy and try out a TV for 30 days. We have a stand that it can go on where we have our center channel and other items. If we like it, we can then get it mounted as we'd have to take the old screen down.
Thanks mdmost!

I actually found a good site last night that compares TVs and projectors. Rtings.com. They do a really good job of breaking down why a TV is better than another especially for certain types of media like sports and TV shows. They have a nice big article all about how projectors can't replicate the quality of TVs now even at larger sizes. They don't recommend this TV but I appreciate the suggestion.
Post the link if you can. I'd love to see it.
Buying a TV is all a compromise. Where do you draw the price point is the big question. -

On Nov 8 2016 I learned that a whole bunch of assumptions I had been operating under were way, way wrong.Sadly, we're surrounded by dumbasses. Hopefully 2016 is the only time they feel empowered by hatred and putrescence enough to vote.

I'm at a bit of a crossroads on our home theater setup and could use some assistance. Our Panasonic projector is on its last legs. It's a good unit but it's time to upgrade or move on to some other option. The issue I'm having is we really don't want to go up on screen size and a lot of newer projectors have much shorter throw ratios. Our room is pretty big and the throw from the projector to screen is 16 feet. I really don't want to invest in moving the mount and all the wiring forward. It's nice where it is because it's not as noticeable. I have debated a few options, 1) replace the projector with a long throw projector and get a new screen (I may see about going up a bit to 92" or 100" from 85" that we currently have), 2) get a short throw laser projector and screen, 3) get a 77-85" TV. I was hoping to stay under $2500 for everything.

Rollover IRA isn't exempt from the pro-rata rule
This. If you ever exceed the income limitation for contributions to a Roth IRA, having a traditional or conventional IRA will slaughter you in taxes IF you want to do a backdoor Roth conversion.

Spent one night at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine for my son's birthday nearly 10 years ago and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. When I got remarried a few years late, one of my wife's family friends gave us a $500 GC to GWL thinking we'd want to take the kids out there sometime. I donated the card to be a raffle item at our annual Rib Cook-Off fund-raising event.
The high-pitch screaming of kids, echoing through the GWL is awful. That auditory agony surpassed only by the crowd at a Jojo Siwa concert.

Sadly true. Owasso's first wave of growth in the 60s/70s was white flight from parts of Tulsa as non-whites began to buy homes in traditionally white neighborhoods.

Likely either a hemorrhage from the fight that kicked in later, or suicide. My guess is the latter. Parents misgendered and deadnamed them in the obituary. Hateful despicable parents. This is the side of wedge issues that I find unconscionable. Create hate to win votes, what are a few dead children in the long run?
This. Hearing the latter for a cause. IMO, likely bullied by school and family. ME report still not released. Just awful.

He ain't bleeding HIS money. He's bleeding those two things of THEIR money....which means it's money those entities can't use to advance any political purpose. And that's good for we the people. Let Trump suck all the life and blood out of that party, so it's an empty husk unable to do anything but funnel all of its money and reduced power directly to him.
A dollar spent to serve Trump's greed, vanity, and stupidity, is a dollar not spent supporting downballot Republican candidates. That's a very good thing.
It's like the wasps who lay their eggs in spiders. The eggs hatch, and the wasp larva eat the spider from the inside.
AND I'M HERE FOR IT!!! EVERY FUCKING DOLLAR THEY CAN'T SPEND ON A RACE.
