  1. Rained a little bit today in Texline. Sunset pic was about 9:15 Texline time. Of course about 100 yards from that pic it was 8:15.
  2. IYKYK RIP Hal they finally did it. They finally fucking did it.
  3. It upset him so much to change it he stuttered through the call.
  4. Was at Scholz when it went down. Saw some limbs blow by. The back patio had a lot of smalls come down. Nothing big. Part of the awning by the tiny truck blew off but just bent over like Austin during a May storm. Walked back through campus. It was a damn mess. The Mulca hall construction site was a mess. The crew was already on site with fork lifts picking it up. Battle oaks are fine. Didn’t even see smalls down over there. Two very large limbs were lost on the west mall. One nearly took out the bus stop across from UFCU. One is laying across the stairs down to the old post office. Trash cans and lids and saw horses everywhere. Trees under the pedestrian bridge by PMA were in Dean keeton. UT facilities were already cutting it up. The big oak next to Texas Global fell across 24th and took out the street lights. 24th completely blocked. The military flags at northwest corner of DKR took a lot of damage. Half are gone. Highway signs over 35N at MLK exit were hanging down and traffic was diverted off highway.
  5. Is that a lot (of water)? It looks like a lot.
  6. “DVD sized hail right now”
  7. It’s been ten years since those beef ribs after cleanup project? Damn.
  8. I protested mine. Minutes after uploading the evidence I received a settlement offer lower than what I was proposing. I’m happy as a home owner. The state employee part of my brain wonders why they would do that. Neither of my neighbors protested and they were both >10% increases.
  9. Similar experience. I say I lost 50 already but need to lose 50 more. They can’t believe it and tell me I need to be careful or get a second opinion. I need to be careful about getting fit and getting to a healthy weight?
  10. Get those callouses down to the bone and you don’t have to worry about shredding your hands anymore.
  11. What a shot
  12. He’s unmasked! http://www.reddit.com/r/UTAustin/s/fq8omW2XId
  13. My prime suspect in a suspicious death is the asshole walking around punching people in the face. Maybe he got bored with punching and started getting stabby.
  14. Designed by Aggies, the door is below street level. On a steep hill. That curb was doing its best for 100 years.
  15. This was how my morning started and it didn’t get much better. (Fwd from facilities) “Good morning Everyone, The storm last night caused significant flooding in the PAI 1st and 2nd floors. This is very comparable to the floods a few weeks back. Since the previous flood, the new drainage system has been fully connected, but the rain was too much and too fast for the temporary construction arrangements. The red areas below all took on heavy rain water.” The first flood mentioned was because the construction crew built a ramp over the storm drain and into Painter Hall. Completely sealed off a storm drain AND built a ramp for the water to make it into the building much easier.
  16. I call bs on that last one. None?!? Dooooooooomed.
  17. Their next post was “acres up to 8640 as of 3:28 PM map” I mean they could’ve just used the nasa heat satellite map like I did.
  18. Fredericksburg fire says it is going to get to 1631 soon. Evacuate now. That would double the size from my previous post
  19. Heat map shows substantial growth since initial 400 acre estimate.
  20. Any time a DBU beats Oklahoma it’s a good day.
  21. That starting point is very close to Gary Clark Jr’s 50 acre ranch on 150 and Indian Hills.
  22. There’s a few really nice really affordable Airbnb in Texline called Angela’s place. The cafe downstairs also believes in huge servings for low prices and everything I’ve had has been great. I’ll second the recommendation for staying at Palo Duro. There are some great Airbnb mini cabins right outside the park for a reasonable rate. You’re close to the rim and if the show is running in the park go see it. It’s quite a production for the middle of nowhere. Considering the small crowd when I went there’s no way in hell they made money that night between the production costs and huge fireworks show. It was great.
