  1. When the majority party is attempting to maintain power through voter suppression, certainly.
  2. The House doesn’t gavel back in until 10am tomorrow so they technically haven’t broken quorum yet and thus can’t be held. But they’re already in the air now anyway.
  3. The back half of the season was definitely stronger but yeah, wasn’t their best work. Bottom two season along with season one.
  4. The kids who didn’t actually shoot and kill anyone?

Not that the Save Austin Now hucksters give a shit about being accurate or truthful but a prosecutor’s notes aren’t evidence.
  6. If NC State IS out, putting MSU through and having Texas and Vandy play a one off would make most sense
  7. Construction defect claims have to be brought within 10 years of the building’s completion in Texas and I’d bet Florida has the same thing. So if the building was actually completed in 1981, any claim against the builder, contractors, engineer, architect, etc. lapsed 30 years ago.

    Per the Statesman:

That depends entirely on what exactly “being involved” means.

How does being affiliated with a gang where one or more members of that gang or an opposing gang engages in a shooting meet one of these three exactly?

Unlawful possession is a felony but possession of a firearm by a minor isn't unlawful possession. Seems they were unlawfully carrying, which is a misdemeanor. Reckless discharge of a firearm in a county with more than 100k people is a misdemeanor. Discharging a firearm in a manner that constitutes disorderly conduct is also a misdemeanor. The discharge could have been in a manner that would constitute aggravated assault, which is a felony, but I don't think anyone on here has enough information to really say. No clue on that last part.

In what section of the Texas Penal Code exactly can I find the elements of the felony "Accessory to Murder"?
  13. DanRydell replied to a post in a topic in Daily Texan
What felony exactly? Which provision of the Texas Penal Code is there probable cause that they violated?

His job is to prosecute felonies.
  15. DanRydell replied to a post in a topic in Daily Texan
Nor should he. That's not his job.
  16. Why shouldn't the restaurant go under if they can't figure how to turn a profit while paying market wages?
  17. Anti-trust not at all being my thing, might the difference be that a conference isn’t a monopoly because there are numerous conferences?
  18. Because the premise underlying the question, that schools aren’t already pricing tickets with an goal of maximizing revenues, was absurd.
  19. Why are you under the impression that schools aren't already charging as much as the market will bear?
  20. Pretty much. I think they can also provide educational awards (everyone with a 3.0 gpa gets $1000!) and they can offer scholarships beyond eligibility (pay for grad school, pay for returning to undergrad if leaving early for the NFL, etc.).
  21. Yeah, sauces wouldn’t work. And it’d be tough for a judge to mentally judge a dish sans sauce after having tasted it with the sauce, although they should still make an effort to IMO.
  22. If a component is left off any plate, every judge should have to remove that component so the dish can be fairly judged without it. If Dawn still had a better dish than Jaime without that component, fine, but it’s bullshit to get credit for something she failed at.
  23. I guess Troxclair is moving soon because she doesn't live in SD24.
  24. She doesn’t need to make a stop at the commission to make money. Plenty of firms are happy to have a justice on the payroll.
  25. Yeah. The only penalty in the law banning businesses from requiring proof of vaccination is the state can’t contract with the business.
