  1. Just one play away from being 9-5 and unranked. He's an Aggie all right. Gasp! I like how whoever they're talking about becomes the elected representives of tu. What a bunch of squirrels.
  2. Somebody pay this man! Then hide him from ICE. We've got spare room.
  3. 1 Never heard of him. Sounds like a cool story. Tell me about this cat. 2 Don't want any riff-raff talking during the film! 3 Brandon, baby, It's a touching, inspirational (bad signs for those seeking entertainment) film about what? Say the word! 4 Cultural shifts and family military. Ok. Still, what are you talking about? 5 The man himself! "Breaking a color tradition" and the military thing again. 6 Nice vocabulary but not exactly illuminating. Sorta get the idea it has something to do with Negroes. We're in the fourth paragaph here. What did this man do? 7 Excellent distinction, corps vs military. Pointed, perhaps? 8 "Reasonable age" vs Aggie Corps. I think we can see why it took 55 years to publish this story, and even now they can only allude to McElroy's race. 9 Ahh! The first concrete achievement! Clearly Aggies see this as key to how they feel about him. He caught a touchdown pass! 10 So, catching the pass was a personal triumph for him (somehow he shares his personal triumph) and others over their experiences. They won! I can see why it was a big deal. Beating #12 LSU made the Aggies (2-0) undefeated with tons of momentum heading into a battle with #1 Ohio State who then shellacked them 56-13. October came early. No more wins all year with a death march at the end losing to Rice and SMU before #1 Texas shellacked them 52-14. The annals do not mention it, but it's commonly believed that the Aggies proclaimed their narrower margin of defeat against Ohio State proved the Buckeyes were better than tu. Texas was awarded the pre-bowl national championship anyway. 11 Powerful examination that resonates and caltalyzes. We must never forget that touchdown against LSU in the magical tradition-breaking win on the football field! Okay, I googled the guy:
  4. Sydney laying down the pure prose. You speak for all of us to the SEC: The bolded part about the Aggies is one of the great observations you make. I'll only add another bitter pill for 8T4 to swallow. They'll hear this: I can't stand Texas taking over the conference, but at least they're not another A&M. They win and they don't constantly whine.
  5. Copying and pasting the same outraged posts never gets old.* *For them.
  6. Party pooper. I noticed it after posting. Too lazy to change it. It's only a matter of months until AI fully replaces reality anyway. So go fuck yourself.🖕
  7. I'm not a businessman, but what exactly is the ROI for this "investment?" Can you spend bloated sense of prestige anywhere? Should have studied the facilitiesfacilitiesfacilities "investment" at Texas A&M University home of the Fightin' Texas Aggies from Texas. Maybe Carol Folt Burnett got a kickback. ETA: @Vito Andolini raises a good point about sources. I'm also not sure who is paying for the boondoggle. Seems like a poor use of alumni money. Again, see: A&M, Texas
  8. You'll need an umbrella anyway to protect you from the raining gravy.
  9. I can't think of a post that could more accurately prove @Darth Tron & @Js1's point. The game is better with the sentiment attached. Part of that is a connection with the players who chose and attend the same college you did. Sure, there has always been cheating for top players, but most of the team maybe got some 100 handshakes the same as other schools. It's an overstatement to the game has gone totally NFL, but it's lurched in that direction. Sark still relies on atmosphere and culture as a recruiting edge. Other schools must do the same. Or at least that's what I'll believe to keep emotion and sentiment alive in myself. Some here, outwardly anyway, look at the team they way they indicate they look at women: only for sex (let's face it, masturbation) as long as they're sexier than 99% of the woman you have ever or will ever likely meet. Say pretty eyes around here and you're branded a homosexual. But, I become a scold when I really just wanted to back Darth and Js1's play.
  10. I'm glad that place is still around. I lived inside the loop back in '83 during an unforgettable summer. I loved going there. Somebody neg me for feeding the digression, but it's a very happy/heartbreaking/exciting year in the life of @RomaVicta
  11. Everybody's saying the Republicans are going to take both houses, but I've got sources, and I've been at this for a long time as some of you geniuses should know from paying me more than $2 thousand over the years, who say Kamala Harris is going to win the swing states and lead the Democrats to controlling at least one house and the White House. Look for some pretty surprising flips before election day. Now, let me talk about myself for awhile...
  12. Everytime I see this bumped, I gasp and clutch my pearls. Oh no! It can't be! The Great Man has been stolen away from us in his greatest moment! Who will round up the queens and the coons and the reds and the jews? Who will save us from the horrible criminals? Save us, Donald! Come back!
  13. You can't make great stuff without taking risks. They don't always payoff, but when they do... I totally agree with you about Verhoeven. He's got a worldview which doesn't make it into major motion pictures much.
  14. I didn't want to see it, but a friend talked me into it. It's a very clever movie. Do you want to know more?
  15. This must be one lonely ass AgTagger. I guess he has one sane friend on the site. As @SydneyCarton noted: No person can avoid the trashy parts of Austin. The place is full of gay bars (Aggies can name them all and tell you where they are. Hmmm.) You're likely to be assaulted by betas, homos, and women with dildos. You take your life into your own hands if you wander these mean streets: 2cd Street 6th Street Campus Meanwhile, in College Station: Northgate!!!
  16. We won't get fooled again. We must make Georgia's class a teenage wasteland.
  17. That's eight. With guests, their set will look like the Last Supper.
  18. That reads very Aggie. I guess Alabama standing on their chest for more than hundred years has the same affect as our history with A&M Frankly, those few writers seem a little nervous about Texas. They should be.
  19. You know, tiresome camera shots of this: made me doubt the spelling everytime defense or offense comes up. Seriously. Stupid, but seriously. Excellent means of pointing it out, my friend.
  20. People made similar arguments about the N word back in the 80s. "I mean bad people not black people." That may be the intention, but using the word throws a lot of unintended shrapnel. I conceded that the word comes to my mind and there are places for it, but only if everyone present understands and approves. Sorta like the N-word. I will say the N-word with people certain that I only use it to parody racist yokels. If someone uses the N-word at a gathering of people I don't know well, I will make clear that I abhor the word. In some ways, it comes down more to politeness than political correctness. My four volume analysis will soon be published. Look for it at an Amazon near you.
  21. For some reason I looked at this motto as though it were new. I got excited thinking of what this offence can do with an accurate long ball passer. When Arch lives up to the expectation, I think there will be games where teams are blown out before they know what hit them. There will be the excitement of know we can score from anywhere. It takes more than an excellent passing attack to win championships, but it's sure nice to think of what our pass game might look like. Written with no criticism of Ewers.
  22. I don't like it either. We've had the discussion. The word rises like lightning in the mind when considering some people. Most people use it aptly without regard to sex, but it still has that degrading aspect. There is no such word for men. I only use the word when with people who know exactly what I mean. I rarely use it, however. The deacons will pass the collection plate. I'll be in back with the altar boys.
