  1. F me, didn't mean downvote this post. Damn mobile
  2. If he relapses, we the public will know. There are two kinds of addicts, those that can hide it well (closet addicts) and those that can't handle themselves at all. Pretty obvious from the experiences in Washington and especially SC,Dark After Dark is terrible at hiding it. I could tell he was shit-faced just watching him coach on TV.
  3. If he's smart, he's not after Milroe. He wants Bryce Young and then Quinn Ewers to replace him. Milroe and Ewers are too close in class/age. Charlie Strong was an AWFUL hire. All the evidence was out there on him. Herman was a gamble on a young coach, who I think COULD still be successful, but he made a bunch of rookie mistakes. Not sure how you could feel the opposite. This isn't the hire I wanted. At least Sark can recruit, has a lot of good assistant coaching connections, has big-time head coaching experience, with mixed results, and has learned/rehabbed the past few years under Saban. My eyes are on the assistant hires and how quickly he can turn the recruiting/transfer machine. That will probably be some foreshadowing to possible future results.
  4. I think deep down inside, Urban Meyer is pissed that Ryan Day is 60 minutes away, and many more chances in the future, from attaining some of the credit that Urban built. It wouldn't surprise me if he made the call to Texas tonight. There's no effin way Urban Meyer (and Shelley) doesn't care about his college football legacy, where he stands on the all-time list. Saban can win another in about ten days. Day could begin his own legacy riding the coattails of Urban's hard work. I don't think the picture is just happenstance. I think Meyer could really be pissed tonight. Is he about to go... ...on Ohio State?
  5. Ryan Day's the whiniest (fat) chimpanzee in the history of anything.
  6. Surly trying to get a little extra kick to get to the finish line of this marathon before the pets heads fall off.
  7. Bijan 2020 Season Stats Carries: 26 Yards: 703 TDs: 48 High School/ College Combines Totals Carries: 300 Yards: 23, 200 TDs: 530 He just loves to run. When he scores a touchdown, he turns around and challenges himself to run to the other end zone without being touched. He keeps running until he's worn out.
  8. Didn't know that, but it doesn't surprise me. Despite a huge disadvantage in recruiting, his defenses play fast.
  9. A guy of interest for OC under Urban IMO: I've always felt Kevin Wilson is more responsible than Ryan Day for the sudden explosion of offensive at tOSU. I believe he brought the teaching principles of the Leach passing game (to combine with the running game) from his days at OU. I remember when Urban hired him and thinking it was a shift in offensive philosophy for him. He then started recruiting kids from spread HS programs, including Texas (and Lake Travis). Day may call the plays, but I believe Wilson had A LOT of influence on the offensive install. I also believe that these offenses that are related, or derivatives, of the Leach teaching style basically call themselves on game day. The players on the field determine the call much moreso than a good play-caller in the booth or on the sidelines. That's why Lincoln Riley can call plays and be the head coach and Herman cannot. Herman's offense isn't as simple and efficient as the Leach system in a world where players only get 20 hours per week in short spurts of the year with their coaches. Mike Leach is pass happy by choice, not because you can't have a power run game component attached to it. The genius of the system is how simple it is while still compromising just about any defense known in existence, as long as your offensive line holds up. College offense is all about simplicity, repetition, speed, and leverage of the opposing defense before the snap. It makes teaching and play-calling simple and just about anyone who can learn chalkboard talk can excel at it. That's why the new OC after someone leaves is usually the inside receivers coach. Rinse and repeat and barely miss a beat. Oddly, this system was invented decades ago in high school football in the state of Texas.. It's also been beating us for over twenty years and the state flagship, outside of one year running a veer version of it, has never even considered it. It's a gimmick, we are told. Just a hint, all four of the national titles won at The University of Texas were won running some type of option football. The Leach system is option football in the air (with all the power you want attached to it). And we wonder why this program hasn't won consistently in decades? To make matters worse, the dipshit that coached here for 16 years and refused to install it, then goes back to UNC and hires someone to install it and starts to break offensive records thru the air and the run game without anything near the talent he had here.
