  1. He’ll have even more next year.
  2. I'm for Miller because he didn't say "blessed."
  3. Two Shots and Cowboy Shots. You'd see the shoes in a wide shot.
  4. Maybe you shouldn't chime in on Deuce Robinson comments, podna (unless you admit that you guaranteed he was coming to Texas, and then when he didn't, that he would transfer to Texas).
  5. The "underutilized" trope is the laziest of all tropes, drives me nuts.
  6. The serendipity of how the sorrell to packers thing went down can't hurt either.
  7. Totally, I just clammed up after I said it, shocked by the situation, which made it sound vaguely anti-semitic, and then she went okaaay and got up and walked away, lol.
  8. She tried to pick me up once (in LA) and I blew it by talking about everybody in Dobie being Jewish (like her when she was there, and my then roommate), totally awkward. Ragrats.
  9. Once again dude, you must understand something, when you call people pussies all the time, you're telling everyone that you're a huge fucking pussy, likely the biggest fucking pussy on this board. Maybe drop the bit.
  10. My point is that our super highly regarded, heisman-talk (at the time) QB, with years of eligibility remaining, could have made that situation untenable -- and Arch could easily have passed -- but Ewers made it as easy as anybody possibly could under the circumstances, and he deserves credit for that. That's at least my reason for sticking up for the guy when people say he sucked. Not only did he not suck, on the whole, he could have made the whole vibe a fucking slog, and he didn't.
  11. Does anyone think Arch Manning would have come to Texas if we had some other golden boy with years of eligibility at QB? Or if Quinn was a jackass? People don't give Ewers the credit he deserves for handling that with such grace and relaxation.
  12. But Ohio State is away from Texas.
  13. No ones saying he's the sole reason, holy shit. The point is that it's reasonable for someone to say he "led" the team over that time because he was the quarterback. Can we agree?
  14. Shitty teams can have good players on the roster, sometimes great players. It's a team sport. You're completely missing the point. QE was the quarterback when Texas went from losing a lot of games to winning a lot of games, hence as QB he "led" the team over that transition. Do you see the logic?
  15. lol. We had shitty teams because we lost a bunch of football games. Not that hard.
  16. JFC he was the fucking quarterback. We went from shitty to (briefly) number one with him under center. What do you expect people to say?
  17. That was Penix on fire as much as anything, IMO, just playing totally out of his head, killing us.
  18. Pro Football Focus is a company. Wiki: "PFF is criticized by the analytics community regarding the accuracy and veracity of its ratings. In contrast to the purely quantitative ratings released by sources such as Football Outsiders, TeamRankings, and numberFire, PFF uses qualitative and opinion-based grading as the root of its 0–100 Player Grades – not its advanced statistics. As such, the 0–100 Player Grades are not truly quantitative and could be seen as being prone to bias, poor sample sizing, or other issues." Still, you're right. It's a metric saying QE was subpar (last year). But you're hanging your whole argument on that and where GMs drafted him and ignoring every traditional statistic (like passing and winning percentage), and treating your opinion as fact. Can't you see that?
  19. Herein lies the problem. Nobody is saying QE is great. Also, the mother-fucking general managers and owners of NFL teams aren't the end-all-be-all with regards to how good a QB was in college. Stats and records and program influence are what matter. And by any definition, QE was a good/solid fucking QB at Texas.
  20. Can't buy no gold chains with a scholly.
