I fell asleep on the drive between Stillwater and Tulsa when I was in college. Got up around 4:30AM that morning, worked all day, and thought I could make it home and back that evening. Woke up driving down the grass median a few hundred yards from an overpass concrete pillar. Scared the shit out of me and I was wide awake the rest of the drive.
Whirlpools are pretty solid. That's what we had prior to these. The one thing we really didn't like was that the dryer lint trap was on top so when you emptied it lint went everywhere. It was surprisingly annoying. I think only the cheaper basic models are like that. Whirlpool and Maytag are the only other brands I'd consider.
Got these hooked up today and was briefly cussing Speed Queen for not including the screws required to attach the plug to the terminal block on the dryer. Wasted a good hour digging through my box of random shit in the garage to find one that fit before I could go to Ace and buy three new ones with the same threads. Got home, installed them, open the dryer door...packet of screws inside. Fuck me! Anyway, washed a few loads of clothes and everything seems to be working. Love the simplicity.
My Great Aunt and Uncle live in Cincinnati and have been Bengals fans as long as I can remember. She passed away a couple weeks ago. Sucks she didn't get to see this. Hope they win it all though.
Ha, basically look the same. I went with this model instead of the classic because we don't normally have super dirty clothes. I know a lot of die hards only like the older ones with the classic wash technology.
These ones were $2200 with tax. Pretty expensive, but I think the Maytag set I was looking at was $1600-$1700 and hopefully these pay off over the long-term. Time will tell.
My fever got pretty damn high one night and I had waves of fever and chills for a day or two. It wasn't horrible, but it sucked. I was Pfizer vaxxed last May, but no booster. And yeah, a huge number I know are getting this when they didn't get any of the others. At least that they know about.
Someone sent me a meeting request on a day I clearly had marked as being out. I explained that I wouldn't be able to make it and declined. Got another request an hour later from the same person on the same day. I declined again. Still not available.
My taste and smell are definitely fucked today after being fine for the whole week. Not sure if it's just from lingering congestion or if I get to deal with this for the next several weeks/months.
Last night was pretty bad and honestly my fever was getting to the point where it was concerning. It must have finally broke at some point because I woke up feeling 100 times better. Hopefully that was the worst of it.
Wife and I have something. Test scheduled for the morning. Both Pfizer X2, but no boosters. I got my flu shot back in September/October. So far I seem to be getting it worse with aches, chills, pounding headache and fever. Basically everything I felt after the second shot except ramped up.
Google TV interface on the Sony OLED is the best I've used. You can add it to any TV with the newer Chromecast, but it's nice having it all integrated.
I've been wanting to get a set of Speed Queens since my Whirlpool washer shit the bed a few years ago. Have been using the in-laws old Kenmore and I hate it. Think I'll use moving to a new house as an excuse to finally pull the trigger. Which ones do you have? The capacity seems small compared to all the other brands these days, but I have no idea what my old one was.
