After Deion kicks back some of that $50M he got from Jerrah back in the day. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Daddy bribed some team to draft him. Maybe with a promise of a scholarship for someone's kid.

17 year old stabbed to death by another 17 year old at Frisco track meet
Modessit replied to Derka's topic in Daily Texan
I was thinking about the knife while catching up. There has been speculation about whether a small folding pocket knife is legal on a school campus and - if so - how small is legal and how big is illegal. And if a small folding picket knife that is legal would have a large enough blade to stab someone deep enough to penetrate the heart. But let's disregard that for a moment and consider three things: 1 - it was a folding knife and was folded, then he had to remove the knife, unfold it, and then stab. 2 - the knife was already unfolded in the backpack. He just had to grab it and swing. 3 - it was a fixed blade knife, either in a sheath or not. If unsheathed, he just need to grab and stab. If sheathed, he had to pull it from the sheath first. Does any of those change anything about intent? If you have time to pull the knife and unfold it, I'd think you also have time to walk away. Does unfolding it imply intent to use it? Does carrying it unfolded and "ready" imply you are expecting to be in scenarios where you would have to use it? If you have pull it from a sheath, I'd think you're intending to use it. Just wondering if the type of knife used and how it was carried in the backpack could have any bearing on the self-defense theory. -

I'm 5 days behind, so apologies if this is covered already, but you can tell the majority of the speculators here were the bullies and not the bullied. And probably don't even realize they were bullies. I was bullied a lot in HS . Apparently it's frowned upon to get the best grades and wreck the curve. The last thing I would ever do is intentionally go where my bullies are unless I was planning a drastic Columbine-type retaliation. It wouldn't matter how bad the rain was. I'm not hanging around to give them a target. Either this guy was never bullied by them, or went there specifically to tempt them so he could harm them with the knife. And I wouldn't want a stranger in my team's tent where cell phones, jewelry, etc are sitting in bags. -

Didn't see it was already mentioned. Sorry. -

To be fair, so do 85% of the other posters on this thread. People who obsess about politics always ignore the story and focus on who is telling it. Very few of these posts have any actual facts or discussion about what actually happened. This is why those people should be locked in the Cloak Room and never let out. And to answer your earlier question, the white kid got stabbed. -
Wife got a new debit card because hers expired at the end of March. She texted me yesterday because she stopped to get gas and - of course - forgot to activate the card. I told her to use the backup credit card we usually keep only for emergencies. I was home, and told her to go ahead and activate it while she was pumping gas. She told me she couldn't remember her password and she got locked out of the website after failing too many times, so now she has to call Support. I told her to go ahead and call right then and get it activated, but she didn't want to call right then. So I sent this message: "Call when you get home." About 30 minutes later my phone rang. Her: "I'm home."

When I was stationed in Colorado (88-90), I went to a military surplus auction. They had an old jeep like this that still drove (I drove it around for about 10 minutes). No keys. Kind of like a golf cart in that you pressed a pedal and it started up. Was interested in buying it but was told that because it wasn't "street legal" they'd have to cut it in half first. That's a cut from front to back straight through the engine.

I'm sorry. Is bipartisan shitposting frowned upon?

I hate dipping into CR waters. I cannot and will not speculate on the political leanings of this group of dirtbags (death penalty if everything is true), nor opine on any motivations for what they did, but if you think this violence against trans people is limited to far-right sickos... I'd suggest looking up Muhlaysia Booker, Tiffany Thomas, and LaKendra Andrews - all black transwomen who were murdered in Dallas. And I'm willing to bet not a single murderer voted Republican. Hate is not limited to just one side, and not all crime is politically motivated. Nor is violence against transpersons new with Donald Trump. And it won't go away when he's long gone. Sorry to interrupt your hate party.

I'm guessing she was sick but unaware of how sick. She was his caregiver. She probably collapses in the bathroom and can't get up. He's too far gone with Alzheimers to respond if she tried calling for help. Dog is locked up. She can't get her phone, and dies on the bathroom floor. Meanwhile, he's wandering around the house unaware she's even missing. Doesn't know to feed himself. Probably isn't taking his heart medication that she made sure he took. He gets weak from no food and falls. Pacemaker is keeping him alive for a while but he finally dies, completely unaware of what is happening. Dog dies of dehydration or starves in the crate. Sad all around. This is probably a case where his fame worked against him. A normal person would probably have a nurse coming to check regularly. They didn't want his condition going public so they kept it too compartmentalized.

Is it an "honor" if you have to pay to be in it?

I think I told this story in the Dad's thread: When my son was about 4 (he's 11 now), I took him with me to pick up some BBQ. He was big into Paw Patrol at the time ("Chase is on the case!") so was excited to see some county sheriff's vehicles parked outside. We went inside and saw they were all seated at a table against the wall. As I went to order, I told him to go say "Hi". He eagerly went that direction as I placed my order. Suddenly, I heard them all laughing loudly. After I paid, I went over to see what was going on. They told me that, instead of saying "Hi", the first thing he said was, "The other day, my mom drove through a yellow light without slowing down and stopping."
