  1. I don’t understand how USC can clean out its offensive staff midseason and somehow claim stability but here we are. I get the feeling that Swann likes Helton a bunch and doesn’t want to fire his friend.
  2. From Bruce Feldman: “One job that many have figured might come open is USC, but sources have told me this week that AD Lynn Swann and Trojan brass are backing Clay Helton and like the idea of having more stability. They like Helton and hope that some staff shake-up (USC dismissed its O-line coach Neil Callaway and Helton took over play-calling responsibilities last week) is their solution. I’m told that unless the team falls apart down the stretch, don’t look for USC to make a move on Helton.” Best case scenario could still play out for us where Helton survives but barely. Tee Martin won’t be there next year either.
  3. It can be good in the short term, but bad in the long term if USC nails the hire by chance. That's the only reasoning I can see.
  4. Probably for our best, but USC's been looking to oust Helton since that loss to Alabama. JT Daniels getting hurt when he did probably will cost Helton the job. (That, or not developing his recruits.)
  5. Feldman and Mandel also reporting that they don't expect Helton to be back after this year unless they knock off Notre Dame or something.
  6. I bet that SC doesn't fire Helton this year, but their OC gets canned.
  7. Without Daniels they're really screwed on offense. That passing attack is going to look downright unwatchable.
  8. Rogers is still recovering from an ACL injury that he suffered last fall. Don’t bet on seeing Rogers play this year.
  9. According to S&P, Texas is ranked 120th in sack rate, and 129th on passing downs. That needs to be fixed immediately.
  10. Seems like Riley is pretty happy having Austin Kendall, and they appear to have a near 5* kid coming next year. The fit isn't good for Hurts.
  11. Let’s not forget that Tahoe said he would support camps for immigrants where they’re completely indebted to their sponsors for food, shelter, and education on the old site.
  12. Holy shit... fuck you Graham. This is DR Ford being treated fairly?
  13. There's nothing I want more than a Harris vs Warren debate. Both of them are incredibly intelligent and Warren especially has been really highlighting her policies.
  14. If the pussy tape didn't do it, or Trump mocking someone with a disability, or Trump mocking a gold star family doesn't do it, this certainly won't.
  15. Innocent until proven guilty, but also lock up my political rivals because I don't like them.
  16. On the other hand, The GOP is absolutely headed in the same direction as Trump. We won't be able to wash our hands of him, his policies will be treated as the core until a different GOP president. Which means Trump's influence will be heavy going forward. Graham's 63, he could still have a run left in him.
  17. To be honest, why not? Sessions is as good as gone or will retire after the midterms. It's a promotion that Graham's been working towards for a long time.
  18. Graham's angling for that AG job once Sessions is sent home. This is the price to pay: complete, and very public allegiance to all things Trump.
  19. Not sure where to put this, but it's such a wild story.
  20. I'm starting to think the Democrats needs their own version of the Federalist Society. It's basically a career-long purity test, and GOP take their word as gospel. At the very least, Democrats need to take Judges as seriously as the GOP does.
