  1. I know we have won a few times over the last 10 years, but I had a bad feeling about those games. I think it was lingering from the Mack blowouts. I felt a little better toward the end of Turtle’s time. Anyway, today I feel like this is what the game is supposed to be. Two good teams playing an intense rivalry. I think we are just as good as they are, and their offense doesn’t have that inevitable feeling of the last few years. Let’s kick their ass. Hook ‘em!
  2. I wish Aggy would decide if we are so weak we are irrelevant or if we are so powerful we pull the strings at ESPN. I can never keep it straight.
  3. As a Vandy grad, supporting the football team is a beating. We have shitty mascot (somehow auburn gets two fine ones) and every year is a parade of ass whippings or experiments in finding new ways to lose. And we have a terrible catch phrase. AnchorDown? As if commodore isn’t close enough to commode to begin with. At any rate, gotta take what you can get. Go ‘Dores!
  4. I actually find it refreshing that when a guy misses a tackle there seems to be another guy generally close by. It’s not flashy, but it seems reasonably effective.
  5. A that’s why that bs call screws with people. Duggar mock slid there.
  6. TCU would have scored in 5 plays and 1:45 the last few years. Then, up 5, Tom would have started playing “complimentary football” and done three inside zones.
  7. We ran the stretch last week so effectively, but it feels like we haven’t don’t it much this week. Surely that was Okafor?
  8. But if they initiate the review because you called the time out, then you are getting a free time out.
  9. If that’s true, that’s stupid. TCU was panicking and called TO cause they had 9 players on the field.
  10. Now we play a fun game of guessing whether the refs wilL give TCU an extra time out. I guess yes!
  11. Maybe it’s just the ESPN graphic, but TCU should only have one time out remaining.
  12. Far side side judge has some interesting spots.
  13. Why is this dude wearing his mother’s heels? Texas 100-0.
  14. I grew up in Texas where unions were some sort of bogeyman. Unions will ruin your business, take all the money, leave, etc... I have been a part of several different ones now, which is common in my field. Some were good, some were kinda useless. But I wholeheartedly support people's desires to band together and advocate for themselves. I don't get people who don't support that. I'm quite sure my employers were utilizing their extensive resources to drive down my pay. As I see, college athletes have had their value artificially deflated for a century now, and they should have every right to advocate for better working conditions. It means the end of the fictitious idea of a "student athlete", but that was always a ridiculous concept anyway. At least at the major college level.
