  1. Unbelievable. I'm still in partial shock over that game. How the hell...?
  2. My wife and I are going to a hiking trail over in Waxahachie a little later. I'm still proud of my two alma maters but I think I'll wear my Texas Ranger cap today.
  3. If Texas loses, it wouldn't just be another upset. It would be a colossal upset that people would talk about for quite some time.
  4. Wow. His way of saying "I know you're here. Watch this."
  5. Well, at least something good came out of the relationship.
  6. The travelling and time away from home put some wear and tear on me. However, I know I'm very fortunate to have seen so much of the planet. We took our son on trips whenever we could, both to different parts of the US and to Mexico, Costa Rica, much of Europe, and east Africa. My dad had a "travelling bone", too, and took my sister and I all over the place on vacations, when he could - most of the US, Mexico, Canada, and almost all of Europe, including eastern Europe. Seems to run in his family.
  7. Ok. Fuck. You're good. I surrender.
  8. I haven't always been lazy but I'm pretty sure I could give you some competition.
  9. You made me curious about the number of countries I've worked in and visited. I've never counted them. I've been to 30 countries on 5 continents. I worked in 8 of them. I'm tired and retired. As a result, those numbers won't increase much. I think we've done our part on this thread.
  10. It's just a machine. You can turn it off.
  11. I don't know. Ask him. I'm just speculating. You never know.
  12. His life might be rich with experiences, interesting, meaningful, and debauched beyond your imagination.
  13. How about high school? Sorry. Just had to.
  14. Goddamnit. You took mine. I've been to all but one inhabited continent - for work and pleasure. Mick Jagger - Wandering Spirit - YouTube
  15. Fools are without number. ~ Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus Better a witty fool than a foolish wit. ~ William Shakespeare
  16. I can no longer distinguish reality from satire. The two seem to have merged in this country during the last 20 years.
  17. Probably but '89 was bad and partly because there was no snow cover. In north Texas, we had a day or so with about half an inch of snow and a little sleet and the temperatures plummeted. We had bright sun, a high of 10 to 15 degrees, and a dry cold north wind for a few days.
  18. Thanks. It was bad this year. No doubt about that. Back in '89, the number of busted pipes in Dallas was incredible. We had a broken pipe and thought we were lucky. Everyone we knew had plumbing problems and we had to re-plant our entire yard with bermuda. It all died. Snow cover would have helped it survive.
