  1. This secondary is putrid. Gideon needs to be thrown out on his ass and Joseph, in the very least, moved from corners to safeties where he was at least relatively competent with ND. Clowns looks poorly coached and are showing no improvement whatsoever over the season in the back end.
  2. The only conclusion I jumped to was assuming you had the basic mental competency to understand that the only plausible scenarios that would result in Ewers returning for a third year involve either serious injury or showing fundamental flaws in development. He isn't going to ball out like a god and then say "nah fuck 30+ million guaranteed and my lifelong dream of playing in the NFL... I really want to play in that Michigan non-conference game!". So the ideal scenario for Ewers (and Texas for that matter) certainly does not involve him coming back for a third year. It involves him finally giving Texas another top 5 pick at QB in the draft and having a coach actually competent enough to have a replacement primed and ready to take over. Some of you still have a beggar's mentality with regards to players. I get it considering the last ~13 years but come the fuck on. You should want these kids to come here, play great and then gtfo to the NFL and make a ton of money. If you have the right guy running your program that isn't an issue as the next 'great' talent is just lining up behind them waiting for their turn.
  3. So your take is that you hope Ewers struggles badly enough or gets injured again that he doesn't go pro as soon as he can? What in the fuck is wrong with you.
  4. Agreed. Going to be very difficult to hold this defensive class together when PK is essentially a dead man walking short of a near miraculous turn around on that side of the ball. Anyone objectively watching us play has to think both Gideon and Joseph, no matter how well they recruit, are going to be thrown out on their ass during the transition as well. We are going to have to make an impressive hire at DC (and quickly) after the season but with ESD it probably doesn't give us much or even any window to solidify new relationships.
  5. On the plus side our coaches will have plenty of time to work the recruiting trail in early December since we won't have a bowl to prepare for!
  6. Holy fuck someone actually put their hands up on the DL. It is a miracle
  7. Competition between PK and Sark to see who can call a worse fucking drive over the last ~10 minutes.
  8. So who actually would come in, based on what we know of the depth charge, if we bench Watts and Jerrin Thompson? Both playing like complete shit edit: Depth chart, obviously, but I would be in favor of shooting a fucking depth charge at Watts
  9. Thank god this coaching staff is known for its excellent second half defensive adjustments!
  10. Ryan Watts was complete fucking trash with OSU last year. Got benched and couldn't see the field despite how putrid they were in pass defense. What a complete shock that he plays like a useless bum.
  11. Watts you fucking moron. You didn't even try to turn around.
  12. Have heard similar things about other members of the program and the Stewart family. Do not know what all went down beyond the Commits -> decommits -> tells he is coming last minute -> commits to Aggies a day later anyway rollercoaster bullshit but people are holding a grudge with that one. That goes for some players in the last class as well so I wouldn't count on there being much pressure towards Sark to accept him in the portal from the roster either. Short of our WR class falling apart I don't see it happening. Denver Harris is the more interesting theoretical. Assuming he gets his shit together off the field (which is obviously no certainty) I think he is definitely a take for us. Especially with us missing on Mathews and soon Toviano. Unfortunately I think he is also significantly less likely to portal than the others.
  13. BC is a fucking clown. I imagine you only suggested him as bait/satire but with how bad some of the takes are on this site lately its hard to tell. That whiny bitch can stay in Fort Worth with his growing collection of cactus and the corpse of his wife's dreams of stardom.
  14. At least we know he can escape the block and get himself open.
  15. Better version: broke.mp4.733f749bf560cbf3fabe75144ac8d6bd.mp4
  16. People on IT jumping all over the new commitment Gerry mentioned likely being Payton Kirkland. https://247sports.com/Player/Payton-Kirkland-46098852/ Announcing on the 23rd, so it fits all the "building more momentum this week" buzz, has no RPM by GH and his most recent twitter followers are Sark, Gilbert and Cook. Someone else was saying that Cooper Manning was also among his recent follows but I'm far too lazy to confirm that. edit: Well GH literally just put in an RPM for him to Texas as I was typing this so yeah probably safe bet. Crazy to potentially land a guy that never even visited.
  17. What makes you say that? Isn't Shelby a true edge and Akana more of an actual LB? Not disagreeing with you exactly just not sure why either would be related.
  18. Just confirmed on IT that Arch Manning will be in Austin for the party. I think we all assumed that would be the case but either way nice to have it official. Also mentioned we are loading up on some big 2024 targets that weekend.
  19. I imagine this has already been posted about in the Aggie screenshot thread but since many of us do not regularly check that wasteland of depression and idiocy: Aggies completely fucked up. Rule change this year means no more official visits allowed during the July quiet period. So those scheduled OVs with Hill and Gullette? Can't happen. The dumb fucks apparently only figured this out today. Not sure it really changes THAT much but it is still hilarious.
  20. According to Nahlin that was not the reason for the Sark tweet last night. Context implying it was indeed about a new player joining the fold. Fully expecting either Gullette or Shelby, perhaps even both, to also drop in the week leading up to the pool party. Buzz around the program has been steady for a couple weeks now that we would see two high profile commitments shortly before the pool party to maintain momentum. As far as the tweet last night my guess is Vasek. Been consistent buzz for a week now that the only delay in his decision was the uncertainty over Oregon's future and now after the weekend it seems almost certain Oregon and the PAC will be standing firm as-is. Timing fits.
  21. Bru was never allowed back on the team after his DV incident. He isn't leaving by choice. He was not ultimately charged but there was apparently enough there that the school took matters into its own hands.
  22. Nah it just means PK might actually fucking play him (/s) Sanders is stuck behind two of the best Edge players, including probably THE best, in the nation.
