  1. I love it here. But then again, I post on Surly.
  2. And they should be. I hope, when he goes, he leaves the conference however. He's got a huge upside for someone who has not yet been a head coach.
  3. You shut your whore mouth. (Kwiatkowski is awesome too but has shown no inclination to become a head coach. He seems quite happy where he is. UW knows Lake is headed out sooner rather than later.)
  4. The song was written in 1915, just after the Allied debacle at Gallipoli (which is on the Dardanelles). Both the Royal Navy and French navy failed to "Pass the Dardanelles." Admittedly, the Coug fight song is much easier to remember (thanks, Tom Tuttle of Tacoma!), and has a spelling test in it to boot.
  5. Kind of figured you'd be at the Rose Bowl....
  6. He won 8 conference games that year. In his other four seasons as CU head coach he has won a TOTAL of 6 and will finish last in the South every one of those seasons (and the South has not been good at all for most of those). I like CU and am happy to have them in the conference, but they should be doing a bit better than that.
  7. Helfrich? Hahahaha. Tedford, OTOH, would be a good hire. I think former CU DC Jim Leavitt would be as well - he certainly did well there and has improved Oregon's D, and was reasonably successful as head coach at USF. Don't know if he burned any bridges at CU when Uncle Phil money-whipped him to go to UO, though.
  8. Yeah, we'll be there yet again but I think it will be a long night in the Palouse for UW. They have a few years of frustration to take out on us.
  9. Soooo... is the jizz jar in the campanile or what?
  10. The ACC Coastal says "hi." But it's a tight race.
  11. Ten of the 12 conference teams are still technically alive for the championship (sorry Bears and Beavs) - including all 6 teams in the South. Yes, even UCLA, SBB. If Wazzu wins the Apple Cup they win the North no matter what else they do before then; almost assuredly the North will come down to that game as UW would have to lose to OSU for that game to not be winner-take-all. Of course, anything, even that, is possible in this conference. It may not be great but it is entertaining; certainly more so than a conference where the CCG is set a month before season's end.

    Kenlll

Kenlll is a fat fucking retard.
  13. I can wait another weekend for that if it's all the same to you. But other than that I hope that you and your son have a good day out. Bruins have had our number over the years (yes, I was in Husky Stadium in 1990 for the UCLA game that cost us the national championship). UW has won the actual Rose Bowl since beating UCLA there.
  14. I will take this jinx in two weeks. Thank you. Once again the Pac-12 has given the ducks a bye before they play Washington. Oh well.

    Paging Willie Lyles....

You will beat UW. Because this is what always happens in this situation. Due to this immutable fact, I will be at Mizzou - South Carolina instead of in Pasadena.

Meh. I'm fine with Utah and Colorado. They're decent fits (I liked the old 10-team conference better because we played everyone every year, but so be it). Get someone new in here, make a tight media and scheduling agreement (not merger) with the Big 12, move the conference championship game to the new Vegas stadium, and I'm good. It's still a fun conference to follow and the road trips can't be beat.

Well, that and he's a complete and total dumbshit. ..
  19. Direct to card didn't work (same red bar "can't process" mentioned earlier), but PayPal did: Hi flatdawgs, Thank you for your order at Surly Horns. Your payment has been received and approved. — Surly Horns Order #422 Got two confirmation emails though, one from Surly and one from PayPal. Hmmmm…..
  20. Why? Do you want to start losing to Michigan every year? 🤣😉
  21. Despite our shitty coach, the Shit Midas himself, that was still a good game until Stanback (UW QB) fumbled midway through the 2nd half. Actually had a great time there, laughed at the Sooner Schooner (see 1985 Orange Bowl for why), and didn't pay for a beer the entire weekend. That said I lost track of the number of Sooner fans who came up and said "Welcome to Oklahoma! Did you fly or did you drive?" Yes, Oklahomans, while it is indeed technically possible to drive, most of us coming down for the game flew rather than drive the 1,980 miles from Seattle.
