  1. It’s the aggy yard banners/signs in the landscaping for me, along with wearing maroon colored shirts 3-4x a week.
  2. refresh, refresh, refresh, is it 1pm yet? I should be working today.
  3. wayyyy too many uppity baylor folks near my neighborhood. This would be my preference. Not scared about Venables plus whomever at OC, that's actually kind of a relief. I'm sure he will turn out a better defense at OU than what they've had recently, but it's a stretch to think they will be as potent on offense. Not a bad hire, but a downgrade from what they had going with Riley.
  4. I think we need to see 1-2 DL show up on that list before too long, maybe another WR and LB at a minimum.
  5. For shame @Pato del Muerto, you have over 24K posts. Donate now or never hear the end of it.
  6. ski boards, you know, the short douchy ski's that spring breaker's rent when they don't have their own gear.
  7. Lucky is probably a better description, but maybe Flood makes his own luck? For all the hate we have for Oregon and Ohio State over the last few years (Cristobal leaving Miami, and Day being an idiot with his QB room) these events could save our class and really change trajectory for the program. Funny thing momentum is though. Should Texas land Ewers - you may get a crack at Stewart. Should the NIL stuff swing the needle and get you a Banks/Williams - you may also get a Dewberry. In that event you gotta like our shot at Campbell - and then you have a nice OL to sell Arch on.
  8. from people around the hs program - he exceeded already ski high expectations this year. Don't think he had allowed a sack through 2nd round of playoffs or something silly. He's the real deal with no weaknesses to his game - he'll contribute day 1 wherever he goes. Certainly fits our preferred narrative - but plenty of folks think he is a better prospect than T brockermeyer last year. Lots of smoke to Texas being in lead position should he decommit from Oregon, but I've been hurt too many times to fall for it. Maybe the NIL stuff will swing the needle.
  9. They have filled it with the Clemson AD, no? My guess is he knew who it was and the AD approved of the offer to Mario prior to his official announcement/news being leaked. Seems weird to me too, though so for appears to be a positive development.
  10. That was always in the back of my mind. Not visiting any of Texas legit opposition on the recruiting trail either.
  11. I believe he is a restaurateur in Houston. Makes a great turtle soup and banana foster.
  12. Good question. Next year? Maybe? You will need the current staff and players to turn over probably twice now at this point.
  13. Is this a recent accident or something a while back? If so, what a fucking dumbass for putting any chance at a career in football in jeopardy to ride a motorcycle.
  14. For the few I discussed it’s money starting to be spent in 2022 but with no specific timeline yet (or at least shared with me) Some of the projects were 6months plus, some regularly reoccurring maintenance. Won’t be here in time for this winter season obviously, good news is that last winter storm is relatively unlikely to occur again this quickly.
  15. To be fair to the cop, who isn’t annoyed by slow people on fucking rascals in grocery store aisles taking up all the space
  16. Where did he say they no-showed and when was that? From people talking to banks, Texas doesn’t come up very often, though the flip to an in-state school is probably a 50/50. If the Oregon OL coach we’re to leave it would be a near certainty.
  17. Agree^. I think most will do it anyways and justify it as a part of ESG initiatives. Unfortunately it took this latest winter storm event to raise the issue.
  18. Also, please include a paystub so we can compare your compensation with the male nursing industry. Edited to add: The only real way we know if you're with us is to contribute to Burnt Ends. Get that flair boiii
  19. 4-6 wins sounds about right with the same staff and the same qb room. Of course those players will be getting six figures plus so I guess that makes me happy somehow?
  20. FWIW two of my clients that are midstream oil and gas have committed a shit ton of money towards winterization efforts. It’s not exactly cheap either, one of them is looking at $100M plus. They’re hoping for some sort of tax break or incentive, but not sure that’s in the cards.
  21. If Casey Thompson and Hudson Card are the two potential starters next year, we are truly fucked. Frankly I’ll be disappointed if both are on the roster.
  22. We should counter the Denver Harris and Evan Stewart news with the WR recruit that had an offer from Southeast Missouri Valley School for the blind, and the walk on LB.
