This is who Steve Sarkisian is.
I'm guessing he's referring to the playoff.

We're talking about resources not talent. Recruiting rankings (imperfect as they may be) and roster pricetag are really the only measures we have of "resources." And our resources indicate that we should be able to compete (and occasionally win) at the highest level. You want to say OSU and UGA have more talent, fine. I actually agree. But it's not because of superior resources. We've had a top 5 recruiting class 5 years in a row, including the #1 class in 2025. We went into Georgia and poached their state's top recruit 2 years in a row. We reportedly have the most expensive roster in the country. The fact that we aren't as talented as OSU/UGA is an indictment on our roster construction, evaluation, and development. All of that begins and ends with Sark.

I wouldn't say we're equally matched. Our OL is hot garbage. But we do have equal, if not better resources, so the product is inexcusable either way.

Sark needs 10 years because that's how long Kirby has been at UGA. It makes perfect sense when you think about it.

21-10 lead in the 4Q. We hadn't driven the length of the field all game. That onside kick was basically just Kirby telling Sark "I own you bitch."

I think Cignetti fits the mold as well. A disciplined dickhead. I thought it could be Herman when we hired him, but he only had the dickhead part.

Are all those players still on the roster? I get it takes time to build a program, but not a fucking decade. Sark did it in 3 years, and now he's clearly regressed.

Is your point that we don't have the resources to compete at the highest level? Because recruiting rankings (not everything, but the best barometer we have) and roster pricetag say we should be in the same zip code as OSU and UGA. Their hand me downs being starters for us points to a systemic evaluation/development problem, not a recruiting/resource problem.

There's not some massive gap between us and OSU/UGA in recruiting. We're consistently top 5 and had the #1 class last year. We also (allegedly) have the most expensive roster in the country. Point being, we have the resources to win at least some of these games. If you want to argue that our talent level isn't actually what the recruiting rankings say it is, then we have a problem with evaluation and development. Either way Sark is falling short.

Our guys are smiling and taking pics on the field
When you own someone like he owns Sark, you can say whatever the fuck you want.

Have you been paying attention the last month?

The cigars will decide that. If he goes 8-4 or worse next year (pretty likely with our schedule), he'll be gone if the money is there.

I'm past that. He's not the guy. But he'll be here at least through next year. Hopefully there'll be some good candidates.

That onside kick was Kirby giving Sark a swirly. Just rubbing it in,

2025 World Series- Dodgers v Blue Jays
i wouldn't say "much worse." You can't get any closer than this: https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/video/dodgers-rojas-throws-out-world-series-winning-run-at-home-plate/

2025 World Series- Dodgers v Blue Jays
I didn't think there could be a worse WS loss than the Rangers being 1 strike away, but this takes it. That play at the plate.. literally a millisecond away from a WS.

Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs
If last season is any indicator, the loss column is what's most important to the committee. They can talk about not punishing OOC losses, but I'll believe it when I see it. I don't think playing some random P4 instead of an elite OOC opponent is doing the 'wrong' thing. We'll play around 4 marquee opponents every year in conference, then more in the playoffs if we get there. With realignment and the expanded playoff, there have never been more marquee matchups in CFB then there are now.

Side note: there is zero upside to scheduling elite opponents OOC. "But the experience!" I'd rather experience playing them in the playoffs.

Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?
Ewers didn't exactly light it up under Sark either. And he was 7th round pick. I doubt his development has anything to do with who they hire.

I never said anything about Sark, but 1-0 with Caleb Williams vs Casey Thompson = owns?

Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?
Makes sense. He did everything he could to stop the 2020 season when OU had to replace Hurts with freshman Rattler (they still won the Big 12 anyway--thanks Herman). Then he was scared of the SEC. Now he's scared of ND. Seems like he only wants to coach if he feels he has an inherent advantage over the competition, which Tech can provide. But he'll never win anything. He's a soft bitch and all of his teams reflect that.

Brian Kelly to L$U
There's more money in Austin alone then Louisiana.

Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Maybe he's not as polished as we thought, but he clearly gives a shit and has put his body on the line for Texas. Hopefully it all works out here, but no matter what happens I'm rooting for the kid.

A&M at LSU on ABC
LSU was a historical mid-teir program prior to Saban. Be a shame if they reverted back.

The Athletic Scoops Sark interested in NFL Jobs
The reality is this team is about equal with MSU from a talent standpoint. More high-end talent, but also glaring holes (i.e. OL). It's not the standard, and yes it's on Sark, but there's no fixing it mid-season. Enjoy whatever wins we can get. I think it's clear Sark wants out, but didn't want it getting out. But he's not getting any NFL HC offers. He either fixes things (ideal), gets "for caused" (not great but not the worst thing), or gets bought after 2-3 years of underperforming (worst case). Whatever happens, he's not walking away from $60M.
