  1. Agreed, The PAC is Big 12 version 2.0 right now; except, UO and UW aren't Texas and OU. They can't make a weak conference somewhat relevant...The PAC was dieing even with USC. UW and UO have to get out..Seems like the ACC could maybe use them and Stanford to try to keep from being the next conference that gets picked apart. Maybe the BIG will someday want them if USC and UCLA prove to be too far out on an island.. If i'm the 4 corner schools, im taking the Big 12 lifeline now, and hope that forces UO and UW to have to come with. If i'm UW, UO, or even Stanford, i'm not signing any longterm agreement, GOR, or anything with exit penalties right now to stay in the PAC, if there is any hope at all to get out to a better conference in the future..They are all in a bad spot..
  2. Wouldn't the Big 12 at 8 members be more likey to get poached by the PAC than do the poaching? It would only take the PAC poaching 1 of the 8 to make the whole thing crumble...
  3. I wouldn't take UofA over ASU..But, if UW is actually splitting with UO and joining the BIG 12 to force UO's hand, then I guess the Big 12 will probably end up with all 6 schools. The 4 corners plus UO and UW?
  4. For sure. I think UO and UW want out just as bad, but they don't want the Big 12, obviously...So they will try to screw the 4 corner schools with big time unequal revenue sharing in case the BIG or ACC falls through for them. I think UO and UW are destined for the ACC along with Stanford and someone else, maybe someone else from the PAC.
  5. You mean ASU's new stadium? It was pretty nice the last time I was there to watch them play Oregon a year or so ago...Definitely better than what they had before when both the Sun Devils and Cardinals played there..
  6. Utah and ASU seem to have a decent following...
  7. So basically the Big 12 poaches the 4 corner schools first, and then when UW and Oregon do not get the offer they want from the BIG or ACC, they follow and join the Big 12? Maybe even Stanford as well will eventually be forced into the Big 12? It will be interesting to see how the BIG or ACC reacts if/ when the Big 12 poaches the 4 corner schools.. Going to be a crazy month or 2..
  8. They can always join the Big 12, but it is not ideal for them since they recruit Cali and a lot of their boosters and alumni are in Cali...
  9. I can't remember the last time we had a great Dline or Oline or even a decent group of Linebackers and the draft has shown it. I guess Colt's Sophomore year maybe was the last group of decent Oline? How many O linemen has Texas had in the last decade plus that could even get significant playing time at another decent D1 school in the last decade plus? Maybe 5? At least the recruiting on Dline and Oline is looking up now.
  10. No shit, and maybe the strength and conditioning coach too, the players looked soft, slow, and tired every game...
  11. https://www.fox32chicago.com/news/illinois-family-credits-ivermectin-with-saving-life-of-father-hospitalized-with-covid-19 https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/breaking/ct-ivermectin-edward-hospital-lawsuit-covid-20211110-yjzbvdiltzfuzil4q5g2mfjglq-story.html Ahh ohhh, looks like the cats out of the bag. How can cheap Ivermectin save an elderly man on his Covid death bed?
  12. I hope he is killing himself on the recruiting trail like Mack claimed he was in Florida before he got canned.
  13. To walk the Gooner fans back away from the ledge...Basically, just to say OU football will live on and still be great, and to let Stoops put a positive spin on it...
  14. The first part could be real trouble for his buddy. The second part seems murky though because the friend was, according to Kyle's testimony, purchasing the gun for himself, and the friend stored it at his own house which seems like a lawyer could argue as evidence he actually owned it... Kyle had no access to the gun unless the friend loaned it to him which seems like more evidence the friend owned it... I'm not saying KR's not in trouble for giving the buddy the money, who knows? Just seems like his lawyers coached him well on what to say in the trial about the ownership of the gun. I'm sure they know the Federal law...
  15. Agreed ...I think Kyle's testimony was the gun was to be purchased for his friend though until he (KR) turned 18, and he could buy it from him..So his buddy may be in some real trouble for buying the gun and letting him use it; especially, if an actual crime had been committed with the gun. The jury found KR NOT guilty though...Doesn't that throw a wrench in the FEDs case? What was the crime committed? That he gifted him the money to purchase a gun for himself? He bought the gun in his name and stored it at his house and loaned it to a friend who was found to have committed no crime with the gun in a court of law...
  16. I understand that Federal law takes precedence over state laws. I'm just saying this gets real messy. KR had no criminal background when the gun was purchased and had the intent to use it for target practice, not to commit a crime. Are you going to go after every dad in the world for a straw purchase for buying their teenage or younger sons a rifle to hunt with? What if they accidentally shoot someone while hunting? Is the dad now going to prison because he purchased the gun for the kid? In this case, it is determined by a jury Kyle committed no crime by defending himself. His buddy did not buy a gun for a criminal and the state determined it was OK for him to possess the gun....Seems like it would be a real messy case for the FEDs to get involved in.
  17. Could be, Wouldn't it have to go to the Supreme Court though to hash it out? I mean if they determined the State Law allows Kyle to possess the gun but not buy it. Seems like he followed the state law, and it's going to come down to state's rights versus federal laws...I'm pretty sure most states allow people under 18 to possess a gun at least where they have hunting seasons..A lot of states allow 16 year olds to hunt on their own.. Parents, older brothers, uncles, grandpa's, etc buy guns for kids that hunt in their family all the time...Not sure how the Federal laws apply to a friend buying a gun for another friend for target shooting, self defense, or if the Feds would want to set some messy precedent by going through with this..Kyle did not commit murder according to a jury...
  18. Not sure...I just know you have to fill out a form for the Feds with your name to do a background check before you can purchase a gun at a store like Bass Pro or whereever...I don't actually have a piece of paper saying I own the guns I own, but im sure they attach the serial number, make, and model of the gun to the Federal background check form you fill out..
  19. He did admit he gave him the money to buy the gun, but the gun is in his buddies name and was kept at his buddies house...I think the intention was his buddy would keep it until Kyle was old enough to own it, then they would transfer it to his name... How would it be a straw purchase if the gun was in his friends name and stored at his friends house? Seems like a lot of grey areas since the gun was stored at the friends house... He could say he gave his friend the money as a gift for his friend to buy a gun for his friend to use until he is old enough to legally own and store it...
  20. Those prosecutors let their egos get the best of them and failed miserably...They had no reason to bring the charges they brought, just pure dumbass on their part....Only shot they had was to trip Kyle up on the stand, and when that didn't happen, they were sunk like the Titanic... Imagine if there had been no video evidence, they might have twisted this kid up bad and put him away. We should be applauding the fact that our Justice system worked right for once, not shaming the victim for defending himself....
  21. Maybe KR was a responsible gun owner and took a self defense training course.. He's not some kind of criminal mastermind, the kid just beat what were BS charges to begin with. Why do you think the prosecutors looked like total morons? They had nothing, never should have even brought the charges or took this to trial based on the evidence they had. They rushed to file charges before even having time to review the evidence and talk to witnesses. It was all F'd up from the beginning..They even tried to cover up the fact they knew one of the witnesses names that the Defense was looking for because the witness would have hurt the prosecutions case even further...
  22. The evidence wasn't limited by the defense. It was limited by the Prosecution because it would have helped KR's self defense case even further. For instance, the prosecution knew all along who the dude was that tried to jump kick him in the face and would not give the name to KR's attorneys... How is what KR did a crime if in fact the only reason he was there was to help protect a business, give first aid, and put out fires? Maybe he honestly did only bring the gun for protection and the so called protestors where the ones looking for trouble that night? Why should they be exonerated from their actions on that night and the nights leading up to the incident?
  23. Gee, I don't know...Public lands = Federal Judges...Protected animal issues on public lands end up in Federal Courts...
  24. The players are the difference. Without Kyler and Dhop, Kliff would be on a smoking hot seat. Kylers running ability and Dhops amazing ability to be open all the time has got them a lot of wins...
