  1. After seeing this thread, I applied a couple days ago to renew my GE which expired in October. Within two days I got notice the renewal was approved. No further interview required.
  2. I drove around Ireland for a week in a November years back. Definitely get an automatic and the smallest car you can because the country roads are crazy narrow. Hopefully there won't be many tour busses since you'll be there in spring. I didn't see one at all during November which definitely helped the driving stress level. If it's offered, buy ding and scratch insurance because I busted up all four hubcaps with my shit driving on the narrow roads and ended up owing $400.
  3. My brother used to do that to me and fart. Asshole.
  4. Yeah, that's weird. I won't ever judge how someone responds to tragedy, but I sure as hell wouldn't care about a sports game if a loved one died.
  5. Good job sooners. Stupid fucks.

    Gym Pet Peeves

That's fair. But there are some dudes who take ten minutes to complete three sets and feel the need to walk all around the gym between their sets, so it isn't clear if they're done with the machine. I wait until I'm done using a machine before I go for water or whatever so that I'm not holding up other people who may want to use it.
  7. Any suggestions for a good commercial security camera system. I'm looking for a system that is wired and continuously records 24/7 for a commercial property. Ideally the cameras will be able to clearly record distances, both day and night, up to 100 feet or further to cover a parking lot. Amazon carries a brand called Reolink that gets pretty good reviews. It says it retains 10 days worth of 24/7 recording.

    High

So between a X-Max Starry 3 or Pax 3, any thoughts on which is better for a novice user? The Starry is half the price at $99 and appears sufficient for my basic needs. But if the Pax is incredible, then I don't mind spending the extra bucks.
  9. Ditto. I got one off Amazon and tried it a couple nights, but it didn't take. Too hot and I toss and turn around a lot at night so it became overly restrictive.
  10. I just did an Athens/Santorini trip last month in the supposed off season. Athens was pretty cool, but no more than a three day visit unless you're a huge ancient history buff. I took a quick cheapish 45 minute flight on Sky Express, a Greek airline, to Santorini. I stayed in the beach town Kamari which is a 20 or 30 minute car/ATV ride to the main bleached white cliff towns Thera and Oia you see in all the pictures. Most people rent small cars, ATVs, and mopeds to get around the island. I rented a buggy for a day and drove to Oia and then Thera and both were absolutely packed with tourists. I think I got to the towns shortly after one or two cruise ships disgorged their thousands of guests onto the island. I walked the length of both little towns in about 3 hours. It got boring really quickly and I longed for the beach town I was staying in. The beach town I stayed in, Kamari, which is one of two beach towns on the island, is made up of large black rock beaches. It's pretty to look at, but make sure to have water shoes because it hurts like hell to walk on them. The water is very nice, cool, and clear. Kamari has a ton of restaurants and bars and was actually pretty cool to stay in. The Greek food was mostly excellent. But if you're coming to Santorini because you think the old white towns are going to keep you occupied for days with tourist activities, you'll be sorely disappointed. I think your kids would likely get bored pretty quick as well. So if your wife insists on going to Santorini, at least stay in Kamari or Perissa to keep your kids happy and occupied.
  11. It's very easy to work with and is much faster to do than copper. I redid my whole house with it. Great product.
  12. Oh, they're evil pieces of shit. I'm saying the Democrats are not helping their position, which is the right position.
  13. The Democrats are being redundant in their questions. It gives Sondland and Republicans the opportunity to disassemble and misrepresent his prior answers that already confirmed the quid pro quo etc....
  14. I'm fortunate that my siblings, spouses, and parents are all aligned and progressive. But there are plenty of right wing uncles and cousins and ever since a Trump love fest a few holidays ago, I've stopped attending those larger family holiday gatherings. It's just too depressing to hear such stupid and hateful opinions from people I used to have some affection for.
  15. Lol. Random, yet an interesting question. If he's a rich dude and can afford it, I would imagine having a heavy duty ventilation system for his smoking room would help.
  16. Goddammit. Yep, use me as a cautionary tale.
  17. I bought the night white. But probably similarly cheap on Amazon. I was paying for a dentist's advice before I started putting chemicals in my mouth. Agreed, though, that it was a ripoff after the dentist advised me to use a product I could buy online. Though having the precise mouth guards made at the dentist's office is nicer than the mouth guards I would have made with a kit.
  18. $400. But I'll buy refills of the whitening solution online. I probably could have found something similar online for much less, but I wanted to consult with a dentist to learn about the options.
  19. I just got this from the dentist last week and worn it the last couple nights and already seeing an improvement.
