  1. And I once thought LHN would be a great recruiting weapon. Little did I realize it would be aimed at UTSA.
  2. LG: It’s too bad UTSA has to punt here. Casey Worthy is back for the Horns Acho: Did I mention the UTSA safety wears #0 which is an honor because 1.4 million people live in Area Code 210, an artificial geographic designation created by AT&T? The 210 is also on their helmets. That’s cool. LG: The field point is good by Brett Osborne and the Roadrunners trail by only 12, 41-20 but Coach Traylor has this team believing that with another good drive this could go in the win column. Acho: Heh, heh, yes, these UTSA receivers can really play and they have the trust of their QB and the coaches. LG: Can Texas withstand this onslaught by Coach Traylor’s great team? The Roadrunners are in the driver’s seat here, what with one or more of the Texas linemen being stupid. Acho: The Texas defensive line is being moved backwards every play which is one reason UTSA has put up so many points this second half. LG: UTSA is only a score, an onside kick, a score, an onside kick, a score, and a 2 point field goal away from putting another loss on this Texas team after they got beat up by Alabama. Sark won’t have much to build on going forward. Acho: Heh, heh, I just want to thank Mack and Ol’ Freak Nasty for making me the jolly Longhorn Legend I am today and let me just say how hard that UTSA running back is running. He’s dominating. LG: And that’s the game with the Roadrunners losing a close one here at DKR. Michael, give me a thumbs up and wave if you’re having a good.. um… … … … evening.
  3. Jesus! Can Galindo and Acho shut the fuck up about UTSA.
  4. Well, at least Bijan Johnson got the Play of the Game.
  5. I didn't think I could hate Galindo more but I was wrong.
  6. Part of being just average at Gallindo's job is not fucking up the call on big plays. Gallindo is not average.
  7. Punting is riskier than kicking off because of potential blocks, bad snaps/catches, and more OL on the field who can't cover on returns, you can kick it further after the safety so worse field position for App State, and you run some seconds off on the safety. Not saying I agree with it, but it's not a decision that is way out there. Edit: And App State's FG kicker is not good.
  8. Troy trying to give App State a chance here.
  9. Troy is about to beat App State 28-24 as they just held on 4th and goal.
  10. William and Mary playing tough against Lafayette and now lead by 27. Wisconsin is up 56-0 over NM State in the 3rd. Marshall and Bowling Green looks like it will be one of those key stops/last team with the ball kind of games. Northern Illinois has scored 28 on Vandy and are driving with a few minutes left in the game, but they trail by 10. Wake Forest is going to beat Liberty with little effort. Alabama up on LA Monroe 49-7 in the third. Troy and App State going down to the wire with just a few minutes left.
  11. I don't like that McAfee guy. He tries too hard. Plus, he looks like a douche.
  12. "You guys can keep poking the bear on what I do at QB. At the end of the day, I'm not going to give you game-planning decisions on how we practice. There's a reason you guys don't come to practice. If I wanted you to know who took snaps, I'd let you come to practice."
  13. Back in the late 1980s I was driving up to NYC for something and we stopped for lunch at a Chi-Chi's off one of the far south exits in New Jersey. I ordered nachos for the appetizer as all good Texans are wont to do. However, it was just melted cheese and chips. I asked, "Where the peppers at?" They looked at me oddly and took it back to the kitchen. When it came back to the table they had sprinkled diced bell peppers on top. I almost pulled what today would be called a "Karen." My girlfriend was not happy with the way I acted, but hell, what Mexican place doesn't have a single jalapeno? No wonder they went under in 2004. Anyway, aggy is weird and I revel in everything bad that happens to them, especially when it is of their own making.
  14. Nebraska should throw a bunch of money at Traylor, hire him tomorrow, and try to recruit Texas again.
  15. I know we all saw it but it needs to be stated again and again: in a game with a Heisman winning QB playing for the #1 ranked team in the country, the better QB was a freshman starting his second game.
  16. Euegne Eugene Jr. Euegen Eugene What the hell is this guy's name and are we even talking about the same person? Is Gerry a professional writer?
  17. For those of you who know nothing about Mississippi politics, Phil Bryant was the governor at the time and Nancy New has already admitted guilt to charges of bribery of a public official, fraud against the government, and wire fraud for moving $4.5 million of welfare money through her "non-profit" referral firm.
  18. If that had happened they would have reviewed the play, rightly called it a safety, and we wouldn't be griping.
  19. It's hard to argue that the offer was wasted because it was just an offer and the lesser Brock eventually went to Alabama with his better brother so no scholarship harm. (Yes, I know who you're referring to.)
  20. This makes no sense at all to me. On regular plays you can review to see if the spot is correct, to see if the runner was down, if the foot was out of bounds, etc. Wouldn't this be the same thing? Shouldn't you be consistent and review to see if the QB was down or where he released the ball or where it went? Wouldn't it be the same thing as a review for ball placement? Just stupid. Should have been 2 points.
  21. How is there always one named Kip(p)?
  22. They are so fucking weird. What the hell is wrong with these people? Every single person at that event is a failure of Texas public education, their church, their hometown, and their family. Fucking odd fuckers.
  23. My theory is that when Card is in pain he can't think too much and just plays. So trot him out there with a broken leg and we'll be fine.
