  1. Thanks! I did one of those back in 2016. Pretty fun seeing it on the big screen. Might have to do it again.
  2. Two weeks off and instead of getting rest, one of our starters goes out for the year with an injury. That sounds about right. This could be an epic week starting Sunday, or it could be a fucking train wreck.
  3. Top 10 all time movie for me, and for my money, Hitchcock's best. Eva is a smoke show in that. Carey Grant at his very best.
  4. Goal differential taking a hit. Not as bad as the Chelsea collapse, but we sure didn't show up today.
  5. Our midfield hasn't been the same since the Chelsea match in early November. Maddison was hurt, Bissouma was suspended, hurt and then on international duty, Sarr was out on international duty, and Betancur continued to recover. We've been unable to capture that early season form. That's been a big reason we've fallen off this second half of the campaign.
  6. Looking like Porro will be out for a while. That's a hammy.
  7. We're in the middle of a tough part of our schedule. Only 3 out of 9 matches are at home, starting with the critical Villa match on March 9th and ending with the Liverpool match on May 5th. Over that stretch, not only did we play Villa and Newcastle on the road, but we have to go to Liverpool and Chelsea 3 days apart. Not great. Today was a huge match that needed a result.
  8. Fucking too cute passing and they hit us on a counter
  9. Cards staying in the ref's pocket early on. And now we get a card for dissent
  10. Agree with you on the pre-OT stories. Filoni did a masterful job telling compelling and varied stories. That's why I enjoyed Clone Wars so much. Rex, Ahsoka, Ventress, and others were given as much narrative attention as established characters like Kenobi. I don't know if he would be as successful with the latest trilogy. That trilogy was a damn mess with no clear vision or narrative flushed out. It was a Disney, rush to market, money grab, operation. With his other work, he had the benefit of questioning Lucas on what George meant to do and what he was trying to say in the prequels. It allowed him to expound and bring more weight to material that had been poorly executed by Lucas. If he were to quiz Abrams or Johnson, I don't know what they would say to him. He tried working with the gaps in the latest trilogy with Star Wars: Resistance. It was not good. In part, because the world building in the latest trilogy sucked. All that to say, I trust Filoni.
  11. Agree with this. The overall story with all of the original films coming together, is an interesting story. Predestination paradox and alternate history/universe. The reboots have been really good. The one with Woody Harrelson was great.
  12. Fair. I thought the overall story was better in TUS, but I also think Chinatown had some great film noire lines in the movie. One of my favorites is when Huston's character asks Nicholson if he is sleeping with his daughter and Jake responds with "if you want an answer to that question, Mr. Cross, I'll put one of my men on the job".
  13. The Usual Suspects also won an Oscar for Best Screenplay. Made a star out of Spacey. It's likely LA Confidential doesn't have Spacey in the cast without his Oscar performance in The Usual Suspects. Don't get me wrong, love all three films. This is film making at its best. I just give the edge to TUS. The one thing both LAC and Chinatown have over TUS is setting. Those time periods in LA are perfect for the genre.
  14. Good movie, far from the best script of all time. Not even the best in its genre, I'd say The Usual Suspects is a far better script. Just my opinion though. Nicholson was great, as was John Huston.
