  1. And the Thunderbolt description in the Sweetwater ad page is pretty funny.
  2. 15" speaker drivers are no joke.
  3. Every year Sweetwater blows out a Supro and every year it's awesome.
  4. I think I'm going to see Joe Bonamassa on Weds in Riverside (or some shit). If I do, ima take pictures and you lot are going to have to deal with it.
  5. They have. It doesn't look like a condemned building anymore.
  6. Swung by the local Guitar Center because I like to keep it real. Apparently Blackie was moved from the Times Square location to the mothership on Sunset. Some other cool guitars are here on display, too. Frankenstrat is still here, but one of the Lucille's was added to the collection. Lucille, bruh. There are 4 wtf guitars that have made the largest impact in my life and 2 of them are here. Excelsior.

Jane Siberry will always have a special place in my heart for being a part of only the greatest soundtrack of its or any generation.
  8. Then you might like this episode of That Pedal Show. Just dropped last week. Mick and Dan's reactions are gold.
  9. Another day, another fuzz announcement. What a time to be alive. Earthquaker Devices Black Ash limited edition
  10. Yeah, you can't do much wrong with the sound.
  11. PRS is overwrought design and I've never been much of a fan, though I appreciate the craftsmanship otherwise. On the other end of the spectrum I've never been a big fan of Telecasters for the exact opposite reason, not enough. But Telecasters have a mountain of cultural importance and that alone overcomes their style deficiencies. I will own a Tele some day, but in no rush. PRS, on the other hand, is also the opposite in that regard (if the company had never been created and those guitars never produced the world of music would still be the same today) so I'm not as inclined to overlook their try-too-hard-edness. I'm a complicated person.
  12. Can't see nothing and I want to see something.
  13. And when people bump that shit out of nowhere.
  14. The witches at Fender have made several masterbuilts repros of guitars that no longer exist. That's the secret to the whole operation. (Those dudes go ape shit with the research. They contact owners, previous owners, people who owed the previous owners money, everyone. It's quite an ordeal. I hope one day they keep a lot of that research and compile a book. Would put that Guitar Aficionados tome to shame. )
  15. Let's find that dude and kick his ass.
  16. Interesting video. Thanks. Lindsey with the cameras on him seems like a decent human.
  17. Preach. Relatedly: The version of Silver Springs from The Dance is more great theater than great performance, and it's a darn great performance. I still get goose bumps when I see it. It's like Stevie is channeling 30 years of emotion to the point of catharsis. Add the fact that it's set to Silver Springs, a song that would have been on Rumours were it not for Lindsey's vote. And lyrically it's perfect. Stevie's eyes darting around unsuredly, maybe even insecurely, after giving Lindsey the business - Did she think she went to far? Did she not go far enough? Does she feel emotionally exposed? And Lindsey has to sit there and take it. "Thank you, Stevie!" Chills, man. The upscripted standing ovation is warranted. I'm not sure, for Stevie's part at least, it was played up so much as it was genuine expression. Apparently, up till even recently, he would do small things meant to fuck with her. Much of the time it would elevate to abuse. They should make a new album.
  18. I saw them live during that post The Dance reunion tour at the Summit and they were fantastic. It's unfortunate what happened over the last 20 years. There are a few videos of them performing from the last few years, and you're right, Stevie's been hit hard (no pun intended). She may not have that magic in her voice, but it's still Stevie up there and that's something, imo. Getting old sucks, but I imagine getting old after a life of serious Schedule 2 fuckery is another level. Shame.
  19. That's true. Some of Lindsey's stuff is uniquely Lindsey (he has such a unique approach to melody and construction). It would be interesting to hear that filtered through a pro like Campbell.
  20. Nicks is the only other possibly transcendent talent to come through Fleetwood Mac (don't even start with me, Greenies), but I wonder where she would be had it not been for Lindsey and then, when she left FM to pursue a solo career, Tom Petty (and Petty's right hand man, Iovine). My instinct is that she is a brilliant clump of clay that needed to be molded properly, and lucky enough to have been the muse of two of pop's all-time greatest. I don't think I would feel cheated to see a FM show with only Stevie, though.
  21. He IS Fleetwood Mac, imo. The rest are hall of fame players, buy none of them are hall of fame players without Lindsey.
  22. This seems like the entirely wrong climate for Lindsey's Lindsey-ness to come out in the general public. His treatment of Stevie for the past 40 years, right up to recently, is going to place him on the Mount Rushmore of musical shitheads. It's Henley-level asshatery and he's largely gotten away with it. That might've come to an end the moment he filed the lawsuit.
