  1. Cowboys v Saints trip by chance? I’m trying to make that happen myself.
  2. 93 on the black course yesterday from the tips. Was in the rough all day but somehow never lost a ball. 1 fairway and 1 green in regulation. Saving bogey was the challenge, only 2 pars.
  3. Headed out to Bethpage tomorrow for 3 days of golf. Hoping to break 100 on the black course (I’m a 10 handicap).
  4. What’s she doing around a bunch of bad dudes like that?
  5. The humidor on the kitchen counter is a nice touch
  6. Went to Brick Vault in Marathon last night — solid brisket and sausage, but maybe the best pork ribs I’ve ever had. The beer was meh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. So you were up at the north entrance? No - we were staying in La Verkin which is about 20 mins outside of Springdale/main entrance. Hurricane is another 10-20 minutes from where we were at. Picked up a bottle of ER10 in another podunk town in Wyoming ($25 for a 750ml). Haven’t seen much else of interest, although we did visit the High West distillery while in Park City. I didn’t like the Bourye...loved the Yipee Ki-Yay but didn’t want to drop $80 on it.
  9. Hurricane, right off the Interstate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I’m about halfway done...at 2100 miles now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Found in the wild (Wild West) - about 39 minutes outside of Zion NP. Glad the wife sent me on a wine run. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Me and the family are doing what sounds like the reverse trip. Heading from Austin to Amarillo (Big Texan for a steak, Cadillac Ranch), then to Red Rocks for a concert. Estes Park (Rocky Mtn National Park), Park City via Wyoming, Zion/Bryce Canyon, then south to the North Rim GC, South Rim GC, Sedona and finishing with a few days in Santa Fe. Sounds like there will be a lot of Surly’s out there, be sure to yell “Muledick” if you see my Longhorn hat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Anyone tried this? Buddy of mine gave it to me, said it was from the recent Texas whiskey festival or something. Blend from Ironroot, Balcones & Andalusia. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Another vote for a filling lunch at Sokolowski’s. JACK Casino is decent and East 4th Street has numerous bars and restaurants to get you through the misery of being in Cleveland. Fun game - count how many Cavs/Lebron jerseys you see while you’re there.

    Burgers

Now that looks like a tasty burger! Do you mind if I have some of your tasty beverage?
  16. Just got back from Keystone as well. Could not have asked for better conditions with a 78” base and sunny/no wind - 40degrees at the base. Day 1 my wife (no pics) bailed due to altitude sickness and my son was in snowboard lessons, so I got most of the day to fly around the mountain and do whatever the fuck I felt like. So great to not have to wait on anyone. A lot of waiting on the wife on day 2, but spent most of the day at the Outpost & Labonte’s. Saw a super hot blonde in a Longhorn coat on one of the runs. Day 3 my 9 year old was ready to join us after 2 days of lessons - got him on his first blue (Paymaster) and there was no turning back. Great but exhausting quick 3 day/4 night trip.
  17. Saw a bottle of Michter’s 10yr in Dillon, Co....was excited until I saw a price of $170.
  18. Picked up a couple at the baseball game Friday night. $40 included a mixed drink, which is normally $13. So you are basically getting the Yeti for $27, which is less than the non-logo ones. So pretty good deal (in relative terms). As an aside - when did they start selling liquor in the general public concessions and will they do the same at football games? The pours were strong and I would rather choke down a few bourbons than $10 12 oz cans of Zoe.
  19. Spent at least 3 nights a week at the Coppertank...I miss $1 pint nights slurping Dow White Tail Pale Ale, the Brown Ale or Copper Stout. Or when hammered, getting the “Big Party.”
  20. Found this while looking for some old ski clothes. 1996 Texas Brewers Festival - me and a buddy won 1st place in the home brew stout category for an Irish Stout. Not many of these left!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
