  1. Seymour is on the road between fort worth and Lubbock. That’s all I’ve got.
  2. Uh oh Rogan’s newest episode is with a climate skeptic. Might as well move on to the next big thing after Covid.
  3. Here you go buddy. Young minorities disproportionately harmed. Congrats to all the teacher’s unions out there and the Dem politicians beholden to them.
  4. I never complained about anyone blocking a road. I guess others did. That would be hypocritical if they support this. Things are all turned upside down. The left wants to censor and is trying to shut down workers’ peaceful protests.
  5. Yeah that was a totally private decision. And that’s only who felt comfortable openly talking about it. I can only imagine how supportive CR would be if police departments were thanking private orgs for freezing the funding of protest or bail relief organizations in other situations.
  6. You think they’re freezing funds because of the Ambassador Bridge closure? That would appear to be wrong. They froze the GoFundMe before that bridge was even involved. https://nypost.com/2022/02/07/gofundmes-10m-shutdown-of-canadian-truckers-shows-its-time-to-rein-in-big-tech/ https://www.newsweek.com/detroit-bridge-closed-first-time-decades-over-canada-covid-protest-1677237
  7. That’s only because Biden is President. If it were Pres DeSantis this site would be up in arms. Such is politics.
  8. Looks like you do have an issue with it. It is the government’s fault, partially. Repeated stimulus helped juice the economy but also inflation. It’s also not solely Biden’s fault, but that’s what goes with being President. He is very fortunate that Manchin et al shot down BBB. That would’ve been pouring more gas on the fire.
  9. Record profits. As another poster pointed out when this was brought up with Starbucks I think, you have to look at gross margins. Sales - cost of goods sold. Gross margins for 3 of the 4 companies listed are within historical ranges. Tyson foods at high end of their range. Are companies supposed to eat their increased cost inputs? That’s ridiculous. On economic issues be careful quoting a woman with a PhD in sociology that used to work for Elizabeth Warren.
  10. They’re just happy that their parents won’t have to worry about them masking anymore. They’d be fine wearing them forever.
  11. I know there hasn’t been much focus on this, but Canadian government freezing more funds intended to support peaceful protestors.
  12. I wonder if Biden has gotten a fourth shot yet? He’s over four months out from booster.
  13. Interest rate hikes are the easiest, most blunt way to remove liquidity from the economy and therefore smother inflation. To your bonus, people that are proclaiming it as “extremely robust” likely are citing GDP growth and low unemployment. Trade deficits have little to do with it. The high national debt is worrisome from a big picture standpoint but running a high deficit also helps stimulate the economy in the short term. Imo it is omitting a big part of the picture to trumpet how robust the economy without mentioning we have been running at pretty much fully stimulative monetary policy until just recently. Now we get to see how much of a slowdown a few token rates hike can cause. That’s important because if it causes a recession then we don’t have much room to goose the economy.
  14. This is some funny detail behind the Putin/Macron meeting. What kind of spy craft are they worried about regarding Macron’s DNA?
  15. Have the Ottawa arsonists been arrested yet? That seemed like a slam dunk with the surveillance video.
  16. I’ve been on it for a couple of days. I guess I’m just ahead of the curve. Or is it just that obvious?
  17. Killing parents in their 30s and 40s? 🤔
  18. Masks are down the list of how we harmed kids. That’s why I didn’t include it in my first post. Of course you focus on it. The closures were the sin.
