  1. And poach some coaches from GT - I'd take their head coach too.
  2. Replace Flood, Milwee (what does he do? Only coach I have no clue what he looks like), we will see on Akina after this game. It won't happen but get a real OC and Sark scripts first 10 then hand over each half. Flood did great first year on getting talent. He had 4 years to get the next line ready and we have this... Bread and we continue to recruit bread projects. In the past two years we have one person that is OL semi ready in Brooks. Then all projects. Turntine included, he needs to gain 30-40 pounds of good weight to play and is really an IOL build. Lee was a huge miss. To save next year, if Sark doesn't portal a bunch of OL we are in trouble. These 3* projects are a no-go. There are only 2 OL I keep in this class - Turntine after 2 years maybe he helps, Robertson - 1-2 years.
  3. I by most accounts followed genetics and maybe am an alcoholic. Never drank at work or anything like that but when I got home, I'd drink way more than normal at times. Addiction, don't even feel it much. I choose this - also helps on nerve pain. Multiple Sclerosis - this is a bitch. Nerves go nuts, not sure day to day if I can walk or need to crawl to the bathroom. It's great for weight loss, can't get to kitchen. Tremors all over can't write usually. I didn't choose this. It is a disease. Who cares about the feel good funding articles.
  4. Absurd. You can be genetically disposed to be an alcoholic. I certainly am. Not the brightest minds to be honest but they get funding and write things that make people feel better. If you don't drink can you become an alcoholic? How is it a disease if it is self triggered and requires work to get there? It is an addiction. Can you be a druggie without using it first? Addiction that you may be genetically predisposed to have. Your mountains and these great minds are foolish to think otherwise. Diseases are not self triggered. But hey they get funding and make people feel better. Oh shit, I woke up and just got alcoholism as a disease! No matter I've been drinking a fifth of bourbon and a 12 pack for ten years 3x a day! It is an addiction like any other drug.
  5. @Nicole44 , thanks for the weather update. Scary, it favors aggy. Then again if Wiesner can pop out to the boundaries, they still don't have speed there. We're not going to get anything running in the middle. Just hope Arch is on. They have 2 WR we should have gone harder after that are very fast ... Akina - worried. Also, which Reed shows up? He's good for an int this game. We have to contain him with our missing LBs.
  6. I do think there is a difference between addiction and disease. By many of the posts any meth head/ nicotine/ heroin/ cocaine/ etc is a disease also - no it's an addiction. Addiction does not equal disease. There are drugs to help on addictions but diseases are different. Just imo. You don't wake up and... Oh, shit I've got alcoholism, damn. Never touched the stuff but I got it now - no addiction is what you have. A bit different than wake up and ... Oh, shit I got the Ebola, damn. Disease
  7. This was worth listening too, thank you. I have no idea why after first year we went after and got very good high rated OL. Back-up plan was mostly 3* JAGS. That is on Flood. PK needed a year to get players then his unit is greatness. Sark is a offense genius right? His unit has not been good. The BS of not portal for OL is beyond stupid. If we don't portal OL end of year - fire every offensive coach. Flood and Milwee (what the hell does he do?) should be replaced. Get a real OC and OL line coach. The big human shouldn't mean the tall fatass project with low talent. We are Texas and I'd trade our OL for many lower level schools. It's terrible.
  8. Get it but ... what the hell happened from 2022 (? I think it was with Banks, etc) to 3* projects now. I think a change is in order. This big human stuff doesn't mean get the fattest project guys possible that have low skills. And refuse to portal - ffs we have 2 guys that might work. Even Turntine needs 40lbs of weight in muscle - not fat.
  9. As with most coaches, but this has changed some - mid season etc. I don't think Sark is in danger but he does have to fix his house. Next year he's in trouble if not fixed and Milwee and Flood both.
  10. I do think changes are in order @Mother mopar and I think Sark sees this - tough thing on good friends. Needs to be done though and this Arch crap, end it. That or his job ends.
  11. Flood and whatever the heck Millwee does - need real coaches.
  12. Don't agree with everything but this is pure quality of thought. People don't always have to agree but you make excellent points. Arch is just bad. Why does he have all those pressures? He holds the ball way to long. Even announcers eventually say it and show it. He isn't processing as we all hoped. Skipping every camp not named after his family crushed his development. He's never played at this level and damn it shows in every bad way. Wish it was different and he is a great kid but not even an average QB. The KY QB was damn good for a freshman and dealing with our defense. Arch is almost 3 years in and is way below average. His name is keeping as our starter because anyone on the roster that can hit a 5 yard out is better. If not, jeez Niblett has done almost every position and won 2 games for us, try him. OL - no idea what is going on. I get the big humans thing but geez, all we take after that first year are projects at best. Sark even talked about Brooks losing what 40lbs or so to play? Turntine is 260 or so - project. Then a bunch of 3* JAG projects. Milwee needs to be gone and a real OC/QB person asap. Coach PK - best thing we have.
  13. I no longer live in Texas. Not as close as I was. I send money and life alumni. But I watch most stuff on youtube. Do you think CDC will pull that move on Sark? I can't donate like many but I've done about $500k for nil and can do a bit more but nothing to compare for help on this issue.
  14. Counterpoint taken, sir. Any thoughts on how we fix this though? I'm just seeing Arch as a huge mistake.
  15. Good plays imo - yes. Terrible QB play - yes.
  16. Agree on everything. Why didn't we get some portal OL? Other teams can use 5* WR as starters, we can't? We have 3-4 of them... Boosters paid money for these guys. Play them. Shit, I paid money for them. Arch is a failed dream. He is terrible, move on. Caldwell, Lacey, Owens ... anyone that can hit an open route. Arch is not it. OL whatever, he misses people and goes for their feet on passes. Project OL (huge humans that need years to maybe develop for OL) is not a good plan. Either lose a ton of weight or gain muscle/both. Not sure which is easier but damn it isn't working. Fire Milwee - who even knows what he does. Get a real OC/QB coach. Try next year. Or just put PK in charge. This man has his stuff together. If Sark can't pull his head out of his ass get PK someone on offense and let's roll. No Milwee.
  17. Honestly, I'd put Pete K in charge. Loved the Sark hire but damn he's messed up. A spade is a spade.
  18. After watching the game and others multiple times: Arch is a terrible miss on QB. Almost 3 years here and this is what we have? Yes, start anyone else. Put Arch at RB. OL too many projects after the first Sark year. Knowing this why didn't we portal a few? We did it for IDL. RB - Wisner is great but is an outside scatback. Hoping Cooper can legit run up the middle and stay healthy. WR - a$m got two very talented fast WR's. We got injured Mosley. Hard to say is it Arch or them? They can't separate so that's on them some. When they do Arch sits on the ball and gets sacked. Milwee - no clue what he does. We need a real OC or Sark is fired soon.
  19. Arch is horrible. Just look at the stats. Almost 3 years and this shit?
  20. Defense is Elite. Arch is complete dogshit. Niblett is awesome.
  21. We may beat OU and I hope we do. It will not be because of Arch. FFS, Marcel Reed is torching a 3 year person in real play. Mateer will kill us.
  22. Yep, Arch is solid. Great...wait not good against some regional Texas teams. You really think we could do worse? It comes down to horrible mechanics. I'd take any other QB on our roster and line Arch as a RB. Welcome to the show Caldwell or Lacey. Can you throw 10 yards to open guys, winner. Arch can't. Unfortunately his name is carrying this BS
  23. Oddly enough, with my issues ... I lose 10 minutes of my life every time just seeing @BurntOrange&White avatar - every damn post. He's a damn smart poster too.
  24. Yep I may deserve this, not the rest of you. I did my under and grad at Texas. Honestly you're right - brain lesions, spinal, etc. but I do trust the rest. So let's blame me, I won't remember.
  25. We all hate to admit the truth. I think he will start next year, shouldn't but his name does carry weight.
