  1. Played there once at a customer event in August. Absolutely brutal. I called it playing in a frying pan. The holes that are below ground get zero wind and way over 100 degrees. In a scramble we hoped the first hitter put it in the fairway so we could skip 2-4 even trying a drive tp speed up the round
  2. More bumper fun - part 2. Front was more complicated since it was three parts Again the job is to assemble all of this Using these Finished product
  3. And bumper fun on the 1962 MGA continues. I felt like the engineers in Apollo 13 movie We have to make all this Fit together - using nothing but that There's a reason old cars were in limited numbers. That rear bumper probably takes at least 15 minutes to build for each car. Took me several hours. First I learned that two of my overriders were not original. They were very good repos from the 60's but they did not have the nut welded in. Luckily Huntsville has an old fashioned hardware store down the street and they had the clip nuts A a few more false starts and the parts were assembled Next step = the front bumper which is three separate parts
  4. Nice to have a youngster to get into spaces you have no chance of. Also limits your ability to cuss at parts that won't behave
  5. Going to say - get another quote. Had my back yard scrapped and 2/3 zoysia and 1/3 xeriscape in 2013 for more than half that.
  6. Not hybrid but I once grabbed a Callaway nine wood from pre pwned cause it was only about 20 bucks. Already had 1-3-5-7 woods but never liked the nine
  7. How long until someone requests their username be changed to Divine Special Appearance?
  8. don't kid too much about F150's. I read an earlier article stating that transportation is a education expense. Someone is going to build a dorm about a mile off campus and provide F150's or Chargers etc.
  9. Well you can visit Christ of the Abyss. Easy dive to say the least.
  10. Make sure no fuel or brake lines nearby. Sliced right thru a brake line once cutting out the floor cause I didn't look first
  11. Night diving is fantastic but maybe a little advanced for a first timer. Also is there any valid reason for the snorkle on the right side? I was always taught it can get hung up with regulator hose if you find a way to drop the regulator from your mouth.
  12. We might be cousins of some sort since Carter was my Dad's 6th or 7th cousin also
  13. I always compared mountain and road to my running career. Road was like training for 10K, mountain was like training for 1 mile race
  14. Tri City Plating in Elizabethtown, Tn. They did the straightening on the rear. Front was fine
  15. Bumper Pron!!! Found a big package on front porch. Front /rear bumpers and overiders for the 1962 MGA are back from rechroming. Not bad for almost 60 years old. Now I have to remember how to attach license plate bracket to rear bumper. Involves a small arsenal of washers and spacers.
  16. I bought a six inch socket wrench at Harbor Frieght to do this
  17. Out of curiosity - what roadside repair needs the massive wrench you have attached? That is like pulling the crankshaft bolt type wrench
  18. 300K for 2-3 hours of water time? Not sure that is a winning combo
  19. That is an outstanding first vehicle. teaches you patience and how to work on a car.
  20. Not a big fan of green but that color rocks!
  21. I remember in the late 80's you could pick and choose the manufacturer of them. Spent 30 years with IBM and wanted the IBM stamped version back then - just to carry it into the building and such
  22. Dad bought several WW1 Enfield bolt actions - new in cosmoline for 5 bucks each when he was in the Army in 50's. Never fired em for some reason and sold one for about 600 bucks around 2000.
  23. I miss Auburn/Ga Tech. Very underrated rivalry. They always seem to come over and win as underdogs. In the late 70's they put a bounty on the mascot - who got mugged when he came on the field.
  24. Pfizer number two last Saturday. Was expecting side effects and had zero. had zero on first shot also. Very lucky and happy
