  1. Way to late but Hooligans by John Diehl. He wrote Sharkeys Machine and I always thought Burt Reynolds would be perfect for the main character in Hooligans but that was 25 years ago.
  2. My old Vanishing Point one from the other site did not work well in a circle so I grabbed on of our favorite artists creations - Davis catching the missed field goal and the start of the greatest play in college football - my opinion and I know that the Rose Bowl TD also would be at the top on a lot of people's list. Also changed my name from AUinAustin since I moved back home after retiring from IBM.
  3. Watching for the NBC peacock to tell us the next show was in "living color"
  4. Going to the car dealer and ordering your car just the way you wanted. Something like a 1970 Cuda in Lemon Twist Yellow with black bucket seats, brown carpet, power windows, 318 engine with auto transmission, drum brakes and the flower power vinyl top. Friend had one like this. Today you get one or two option packages - back then you got the ability to make a one off all the time
  5. PF Flyers Rat Fink rings Bazooka bubble gum for a penny Baseball cards in bike spokes Chasing the mosquito fogger truck - no idea why no adult didn't stop this. Nothing like a dozen kids on bikes riding in a cloud of insecticide Sneaking transistor radio into school to listen to World Series World Series games starting around noon on weekdays Running your computer program with punched cards
  6. Underdog came strong on the previous version but here goes... Tang TV Dinners with "peel foil from potatoes" Actually dialing the phone - which was corded into the wall Happy to get all three networks on the rabbit ears Riding in cars with no seat belts Rounding up a bunch of neighborhood kids to play sandlot baseball - no adults needed legal drinking age - 18 but no one enforced it
  7. Some of us are to scared to open this forum at work - especially after seeing what happened to the old site over the weekend
  8. I'm here but still trying to change my email but scared to change it since it requires the confirmation which never gets there,
  9. Hopefully they don't click on too many thread from work. Some of the degenerates added a lot of NSFW as parting gifts.
  10. I know it is a known problem that some email addresses don't seem to work for the confirmation stage but is there going to be a fix in the future. I had to change mine to gmail which I only look at once a year or so. If I change it back to the address than the site wants to send a new confirmation email before letting me back in
