  1. I trust Brett Yormark. The guy is a forward-thinker who takes the initiative, especially compared to Bowlsby and Bebe. BYU's fanbase is WAY more national then the regionality portrayed in that graphic. They even dominate the state of Utah over the UofU.
  2. Anyone willing to give this bigoted bitch a clue?
  3. Arizona? SDSU? I hope he keeps in mind what butters the athletic bread and puts football first. Good luck with putting together a decent schedule on that short notice.
  4. I once gave a talk in church, years ago. I started off my talk with this joke: "Brothers and sisters, I woke up this morning and I could feel tension mounting...... 'Tension' is the name of my dog...." Needless to say I was never invited to speak in church again.
  5. Hawaii doesn't have a basketball program so I'm not sure if that would be a factor in considering them, though for football they would make some sense. It's all relative...
  6. Coaches that coached or graduated from either BYU or the LaVell Edwards era: Andy Reid, Mike Holmgren, Bryan Billick, Kyle Whittingham, Steve Sarkisian, Norm Chow, Mike Leach, Kalani Sitake, to name a few. https://magazine.byu.edu/article/man-for-all-seasons/
  7. I mean, we're not exactly a blueblood, but we put ourselves on the map by making innovative contributions to the way offense is played and are known for producing QBs, head coaches,, won a national title, a Heisman and have a built in modest-sized national fanbase. I'd say a Top 25-40 brand name in CFB historically.
  8. They wouldn't encourage you to attend the temple yet, but rather the LDS church does have an addiction recovery program similar to the 12-step program that they would encourage you to attend first to get the addiction out of the way prior to attending the temple.
  9. Your circle is incomplete, it's missing antelope and grass.
  10. Want to know of the names of his hapless paralyzed cousins Matt, Bill, and Stew?
  11. I know what I'm getting her for Christmas.... I'm getting her pregnant...... (the diver, not the shark).
  12. This one was worse. Last year, a British man swimming down in Australia filmed getting taken/eaten by a great white shark. This video doesn't show the first half (pardon the pun) of the attack but shows a legless, armless torso floating in the water before the shark comes back to take it. Later they found only 1/3rd of this body, the shark probably took a couple more sections at the end of this video. Parts 1 and 2 linked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUhdHQlUJi0
  13. I'll also add that, even though I'm no fan of country music (I prefer Pink Floyd and Classic/British Classic Rock), I'm a fan of his.
  14. Garth was also featured in a biographical band of the rock band Kansas with an interview of how big of a fan he was of the band Kansas. Dude has good tastes in music.
  15. ......and I'll take "Things I never thought I'd ever say" for $500."
  16. With all due respect you are quite wrong about BYU and WVU. BYU is a Top 40 brand with a built-in national base and WVU is a Teir 3 brand as well.
  17. Tell us you are trolling without telling us you are trolling.... BYU and WVU are big names and the parity and competitiveness of this conference will draw ratings, which will generate the value needed for that level of revenue. The Big 12 will be fine as the 3rd Power Conference (if it even comes to less then a P5).
  18. No way in hell will a Pac 12 deal without the LA schools come anywhere near that of the Big XII. The value and demand simply isn't there with the remaining programs. Those rooting for the Pac 12 can't seem to swallow their pride.
  19. If "if's" "ands" and "buts" were candy and nuts..... Wreaks of PR desperation.
  20. Are you saying they have less open space in their trophy case then Aggy? Surprise there isn't a meltdown in CS.
  21. I think many are underselling the potential of U of Houston. Houston is literally one of the most talent-rich urban areas in the nation and UH can create dominant programs by sticking within its region. Houston is that talent-rich. Hopefully we are able to tap into it (no pun intended).
